Not very impressed by the so called onion rings on the sausage and mash, looked as if they had been re- heated from the previous day. My wife had the chicken and leek pie, which had a very crunchy flakey pastry top, what happened to short crust pastry? One leg on our table all but fell off. The only up... More

1st indicator that last evening wasn't going to be good was when they run out of beer, managing to "squeeze a last pint" out of the barrel for me. Fortunately it tasted ok if a little cloudy. Then when I asked a waitress if we could sit outside, the person I took to be the duty manager told the waitress,... More

Table was booked for 1pm for lunch, orders were taken and starter received around 1.30, before 3pm people started complaining about no food or food received being under cooked. Turned out New Manager had row with chef day before and he didn't come into work. We were told more people that left better chance of having main course plated. We... More

The new owners have improved this place a lot as it used to be a dive so now it's quite trendy and comfortable inside It's a real shame that the service is so darn slow and inefficient - perhaps the young staff need some training and guidance or just a rocket somewhere!! Nice food and drinks selection though being in... More

Firstly, I'm not a complainer but several things hit the evenning off to a bad start. May I also point out I frequently go to the pom for lunch as I work nearby and it's always great espeshiallly when it's hot sitting out in the garden. But sadly when I visited tonight we had poor service and mediocre food. Being... More

We went for an early evening meal with a couple of friends and was impressed by the service given by the staff. They were a pleasure and made the experience all the more enjoyable for us. They were quick, efficient and made sure we were taken care of. The menu offered enough choice for everyone in our group and the... More

We went for an early evening meal in september 2013 and it was a cold windy day. We were seated next to an open doorway which seemed to be constantly opening so it was extremely draughty. The service took forever and staff were uninterested so after waiting almost an hour we paid for our drinks and left. Would never go... More
