Every single part of my meal was excellent, I always worry with steak because I like mine well done and it normally comes out like charcoal, but they got it perfect, the other 2 people I was with said exactly the same the meals were excellent and this is defiantly one of our favourite places to eat, the only thing... The pub itself is lovely and clean with a family friendly outdoor area. Unfortunately our food wasn't very nice.

We visited here last night for a drink after passing earlier and thinking it looked nice. It is part of the Vintage Inn chain so the menus are the same nationwide. It's very nice inside with cosy corners and the bar staff were very welcoming,it was so refreshing to have a nice bottle of white wine at a reasonable price... More

This was never going to be a gastronomic delight but the food was fine, albeit some of the new menu items still need a bit of practice. A new menu, plus a full restaurant probably accounted for the slow kitchen but it matttered not to us. The service from a young and enthusiastic crew was very friendly, caring and attentive.... More

Hadm Sunday lunch as a party of four, and although the place was busy and we hadn't booked, the staff were able to squeeze us in - and were really helpful, friendly and nice during our entire visit. Portions for starters were huge, especially the bread and oil and garlic bread, although I was a little disappointed with the size... More

we were a party of 8 - we all ordered separately throughout the evening and then had to rush as they stopped serving food at 9.15 (I thought this was a restaurant/pub?) 2 of us had different steaks, but they were both tough, under cooked and under seasoned. The chips ooked like oven chips. the Pie - the Pie crust... More

Dreadful. The only highlight of the evening was the draft Doom Bar beer from Rock in Cornwall. Every time i come back to the UK I'm both amused and amazed by the menu descriptions of dishes which sound as though they're a work of art but turn out to be very poor indeed. I had the spicy calamari - deep... More

Lunched at the Pomeroy yesterday with friends. Service was excellent, the young lady who served us was friendly and greeted us with a smile, made us welcome, attentive throughout the meal but leaving us to enjoy our visit, there when you needed her. Food was excellent, atmosphere good. Will return.................

Appalling food. I ordered the Sunday roast chicken. The potatoes were black! I sent my meal back and when I was given a replacement - guess what! The potatoes were black! My friend ordered the St Clement Tart - it was terrible! The pastry was practically raw.

We have been to the Pomeroy Inn twice in last year. I booked for a pre holiday meal. We had a early evening booking and the meal was very good. The food was hot and tasty with good service. Having read some earlier reviews I was not expecting much but I was very pleased with the experience.
