Table for 7, not one person was 100% happy with the quality of food, menu description doesn’t really match what you get. Rib Eye steak that was about the size of a frozen Beef burger (& absolutely incinerated) with a table spoon of warm at best peas & quite possibly the smallest portion of warm chips for £17.99, as for... Went here as party of four for coffee at 11am and stayed on for a light lunch on Saturday 6th December. The actual premises & setting are lovely and it is really a well decorated & chintzy pub, however all the drinks & food were really a letdown. The coffees were lukewarm & really undrinkable. Then the food…., I had... More

For the last six years we have been coming to The Pomeroy for our annual Christmas lunch. This year it was a disaster. There is a major heating problem in cold weather - we were all shivering. We even had to take turns to go and stand by the fire it was so cold. After pre-ordering the week before they... More

So disappointing. What was once a lovely community pub restaurant is now a big corporate cash grabbing building. All the charm and love seems I have vanished and the food is worse than my 4 year old would make. No familiar friendly or even smiling faces. The place is dirty and unloved. The car park is filthy and there was... More

Sunday Lunch, no reservation-- no problem. The staff are very good and attentive. Young or old, you are catered for; making your Sunday meal a treat. Prices are affordable and varied for your choice of dinning. We arrived, mid afternoon, no room at the inn;'). Every table was taken. Offered to have drinks in the bar area and to order... More

The environment is pretty nice and it sells itself as a bistro pub in the Vintage Inns stable. It really isn't very good. The kalamari starter was horrible and the dessert, purporting to be trifle, was unlike any trifle I have ever had. It felt like stale leftover jam sponge in the bottom. The pies were OK but my fish... More

I have been here several times as I think it is reasonably priced and generally serves good food. It also has a varied menu though COULD/SHOULD HAVE MORE VEGETARIAN CHOICES. It is one of the Vintage Inn chain and the food seldom disappoints. The service has been good the last twice I've been once in the evening for a group... More

We've visited The Pomeroy several times recently. Sometimes the food is great but the service isn't, sometimes the service is great but the food isn't and occasionally both are good! We have never experienced both being poor at the same time so I guess they're somewhere near where they should be but consistency is a huge problem for this location.

We visited this restaurant after a quick Google to find a restaurant with a nice children's menu. The restaurant itself has a lovely devour and atmosphere that makes you feel as though it's a bit more classy than your average chain pub. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to our table and took a drinks order quickly. The... More

Every single part of my meal was excellent, I always worry with steak because I like mine well done and it normally comes out like charcoal, but they got it perfect, the other 2 people I was with said exactly the same the meals were excellent and this is defiantly one of our favourite places to eat, the only thing...
