Outstanding

Just spent two weeks in Mexico and this was one of the best meals we ate. Four of us had dinner and we all loved our food. Sometimes, when traveling in Mexico, you just want a salad! Especially in the Yucatan, where the food tends to be meat-centric, veggies with a little protein is all I want for dinner. Served to perfection at this old hotel across the Zocalo, my salad was fresh, with crisp veggies, and the shrimp that I ordered special. The restuarant is a... More

An historic hotel with nicely restored room. The courtyard restaurant was excellent, great service and terrific food from Chef Ruben.

Great place with good menu, well priced. One of few lively places in this town. Old courtyard was lovely and atmospheric.

Valladolid makes a nice break stop when travelling the painfully boring trip on 180D between Merida and Cancun. We have stopped here twice in the last 5 years and have not been disappointed. The restaurant is organized around a pretty courtyard which even when fll is quite and relaxing. The food is good, prices reasonable, and service OK, but based... More

Sopa Lima & avocado gazpacho are really tasty! Fresh Guacamole made at the table was one of the best ones we had in Mexico. Fresh fruit juices are really refreshing - try the one one with yucatan spinach!

We were staying at the Meson and ended up eating dinner there twice. We also had breakfast there every morning. What they called continental breakfast actually was a choice of 5 egg dishes or a fruit plate. We tried them all and they were all very good. The dinners were great too. Lots of local dishes on the menu and... More

We loved this restaurant so much we drove here twice from Tulum in our 9 day trip! Don't miss the Cochinita Pibil! The wait staff are sweet, ever present, and professional. We ate tons of food and had a total bill of $44 after a several course dinner with drinks. Amazing!
