Came to the bar/restaurant most nights during my week in town. Really the only place that you can sit outside on the plaza and people watch. Good value drinks and a mainly snack orientated food selection (most very good). Really friendly waiting staff who remembered me and what beer I drank which are the little things that matter. Good wifi... More

Food was overpriced. 85 pesos for a baguette with barely any meat. Great location right on the square. Grab a beer and people watch, but save your pesos and eat somewhere else.

We came here for lunch and really enjoyed it. We ordered one green soup (45 pesos), one veggie baguette (60 pesos) and one plate of nachos (35 pesos). All food tasted delicious and portions offered good value for money. A lady named Carla was the waitress that served us and was probably the best we've had in a year or... More

We enjoyed our visits to La Cantina 3 years ago on our first trip to Vallodolid, but this time around in March 2014, we almost took up residence! We stayed in Vallodolid for 4 days and this was my "go to place" for refreshments and my daily dose of laughter due to our waitress: I nicknamed her "Gingerale" she was... More

We didn't have a real meal here...small plates and cold beer after touring around for the day was what we needed. Sit at the outdoor tables so you can watch everybody pass by since the hotel faces on the central plaza.

Valladolid has a lovely Zocalo, but surprisingly this the only place to sit down for a drink and watch the show. We had polite service, the prices were only a little higher than other places, and they let us sit for qs long as we wanted. I had a chelada (iced beer and lemon, in a salty glass) which was... More

For you vegetarian folks out there, you'll find a veggie sandwich that's pretty darned good. Fresh bread and vegetables (with cheese). Also, our order of guacamole was good. For you vegan folks, sorry, no dice. We had margaritas as well and they were pretty good. They're frozen (blended) and the server confirmed that the ice was made of purified water... More

We enjoyed a couple cervezas at La Cantina one evening. Sat outside and watched that happening in the square. Nice little place to check out!
