We didnt actually eat here, but did stop to see the fountain. It has amazing work and it is worth to look and shop in the boutique. The prices seemed high but that made me realize it was normal for here but for being locals we choose to skip the meal. It looked super packed though. Maybe I would return... More

Our trip to Chitzen Itza included lunch at La Casona's. With indoor and outdoor seating (umbrella tables) this was a great stop off for lunch. It's buffet style and features dishes typical to the Yucatan area. Everything was very good. A nice treat was that they also had self serv Corona on tap! Huge bonus!

I am not usually a big fan of buffets. But this was the place that our tour package offered. I figured I would give it a try, as it was mainly Yucatan cuisine. YUM! I have some food allergies and find alot of the buffets leave very little options for me. NOT HERE. The service was excellent as well, friendly... More

We went to visit Xichen-itza pyramides. We stopped in Valladolid to eat in La Casona! Lovely mexican style! I felt I was in the middle of a Zorro movie!! In an hacienda house:)! Lovely buffet food - it was 4:00 p.m :)! Refreshing drinks - vitamin C...or for better understanding- Vitamin Corona (cerveza/ beer)!!! Lovely altar of Virgen de la... More

We went here as part of a tour. As other reviewers mentioned, many tours stop here but four our tour operator, only the people on the deluxe package used this restaurant. The location and building are beautiful and we took lots of pictures of the building. We were the first bus to stop that day. Someone approached our table immediately... More

All the XCaret buses seem to stop here for lunch around the same time so it was quite crowded when we were there and it was pretty much every man/woman/child for him/herself. There is a huge buffet with quite a lot of variety of both Mexican and American-ized foods, including an US-style salad bar. For dessert tapioca, rice pudding, various... More

The architecture and art is amazing. Worth stopping by just to enjoy the ambiance. The food is buffet style with lots of choices including many Mayan dishes. It was fun to try the different native foods and see the traditional Colonial décor. I would recommend it for a wonderful experience. Kudos to the staff!

Stopped here for lunch as a part of the Chichen Itza tour. The grounds of the restaurant are beautiful! So many picture opportunities. The meals are traditional Mayan and served buffet style. I was delicious. Read more about my experience and see photos on my blog at www.closet-creep.com/2015/03/a-colonial-city-cenote-yucatan-mexico.html

We were driving from through town on our way to Tulum and saw the courtyard from the street. This restaurant may cater to buffet eating tour buses but that was not our experience. We sat under an umbrella in the courtyard. Only four or five other tables were occupied. We had some very good wine and well prepared Mexican food--not... More
