All the XCaret buses seem to stop here for lunch around the same time so it was quite crowded when we were there and it was pretty much every man/woman/child for him/herself. There is a huge buffet with quite a lot of variety of both Mexican and American-ized foods, including an US-style salad bar. For dessert tapioca, rice pudding, various... More

The architecture and art is amazing. Worth stopping by just to enjoy the ambiance. The food is buffet style with lots of choices including many Mayan dishes. It was fun to try the different native foods and see the traditional Colonial décor. I would recommend it for a wonderful experience. Kudos to the staff!

Stopped here for lunch as a part of the Chichen Itza tour. The grounds of the restaurant are beautiful! So many picture opportunities. The meals are traditional Mayan and served buffet style. I was delicious. Read more about my experience and see photos on my blog at www.closet-creep.com/2015/03/a-colonial-city-cenote-yucatan-mexico.html

We were driving from through town on our way to Tulum and saw the courtyard from the street. This restaurant may cater to buffet eating tour buses but that was not our experience. We sat under an umbrella in the courtyard. Only four or five other tables were occupied. We had some very good wine and well prepared Mexican food--not... More

Restaurant that caters to the bus tour crowd. Not open for dinner, just lunch. Go just to see the unbelievable altar the owner had built in the rear garden of the restaurant. Who care what the food is like. Its worth a stop to see the altar.

Xcaret, the Mayan Disneyland of the Riviera Maya bought the place... So expect buses filled with happy tourists to invade the restaurant and the buffet at lunch time... Of course the existence of this place is very sad for the many delicious locally owned restaurants of Valladolid but they should be reassured: food here is disgusting, a kind of industrial... More

This was nice, clean and very good buffet for lunch. Awesome choices/varieties offered as part of our tour. Good place to take pictures as well.

We visited the restaurant as part of a tour. When we arrived, another group arrived soon after, meaning that it was extremely crowded at the buffet area and we had to contend with other tour group folks (of varying levels of etiquette) to get any food and drink. That did dampen the experience quite a bit, but could not ruin... More

We enjoyed our buffet lunch here after visiting Chichen Itza. There was a wide variety of authentic Yucatan and regional dishes which included desserts and fresh fruits. It was very crowded and it seemed like a lot of local people were eating there. Try the Chicken Lime Soup and the Black Beans with Pork - both very tasty. After eating,... More
