Great Find

We wandered in after having checked out other restaurants. Food was especially good - great service - and great prices.

Amazing prices considering the quality of both service, location, atmosphere and of course the food! I just popped in for a beer and a quick snack and stayed for 2,5 very pleasant hours. By myself! :)

Stopped in here for a cold beer and bite to eat; left 2 hours later for an extended siesta! While we were sipping on our cold Bohemia in a frosted mug, our server suggested we check out the weekend buffet. We declined-having sworn off them in general principle since our only cruise-but he insisted. After a look at the 14+... More

Really enjoyed the ambiance and food. Traditional food, big helpings and affordable. I would recommend this place for authentic food at a good price.

Wanted to eat somewhere nice quite relaxing and have a nice cold beer away from touristy area after visiting the cenotes. This restaurant was recommended from the hotel we were staying at, so we decided to check it out and was not disappointed, had some great food and a couple of cold beers just what I wanted.....gracias a La Calzada!

We wanted to eat away from the larger tourist restaurants on the main square, and found La Calzada up the lovely street 41-A, the route to the convent. A sweet place and just perfect for us. We were early, so at first we the only ones there (pretty normal, since Mexicans eat far later than we do!). The first positive... More

We ate dinner twice at this restaurant. My husband had fish both nights. He thought the fish cooked with garlic was outstanding. I had cochinita pibil one night and a chicken dish the second night. Both dishes were well prepared and tasty. Service was very attentive with some English spoken. Small appetizers and tortilla chips and salsa were presented while we... More

This restaurant had flyers in our hotel, Tunich Beh - which is a very lovely hotel, so we decided to try it. Bad idea!! The waiters were friendly, but that's all I have nice to say. The food tasted terrible. My enchilada tasted like it was made with burnt sauce from a jar, and my boyfriend's sausage looked like it... More
