A refreshing change of pace

A great little hipster place, a little hard to find, but worth the hassle of the roads that are still broken up all around it. We just returned from our third time to this restaurant ...but the first time in the new temporary location while the road work is being done...same great menu but the ambiance is gone and I bet the chef left too because the flavors just didn't hit the mark like the first 2 times...we will return but not until they move... This restaurant was recommended by locals, but is temporary not located in Calle 40, but in 38, due to long lasting road works. We took some drinks first and then noticed the warning on the menu that taxes were not included. We have not seen this before in any of the many restaurants we have been eating and concluded to... I was recommended this restaurant by some locals, after having had close to average food in most of the Yucatan Peninsula (Yucatan, Quintana Roo and Campeche States), I was hoping to find something that would surprise me in my last night in Mexico. Away from the main square, but still easy to get to, the restaurant is set in a... More

The vegetarian range at this restaurant is brilliant and the food was great - the fresh juices, the mains and the dessert. Not only that, but the service was perfect and the ambience is fantastic, with lots of fun wall art and knick-knacks. It was such a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant like this in such a small town.

Don't remember much about the food, except that it was OK, and the starter was very big, and you got the usual nachos and dips. Good job the main course wasn't too big. The wall art was fabulous though, and the staff friendly.

The good: waiter was pleasant and drinks were good. The bad: both our dinners were so bad we did not finish our meals and went out to eat elsewhere. Based on T.A. reviews I ordered chicken with mashed potatoes (substituted for rice) and a green salad accompanied it. There were many chicken dishes featured on the menu and our waiter... More

Like a previous reviewer, I think this place is highly over-rated. We had mushrooms and the mild salad to start with. The flavor of the mushrooms, which is quite delicate, were over-powered by a vast quantity of Italian sauce such that the flavor of the mushrooms was entirely lost. However the mild salad was good. For our mains, we had... More

Where here two days ago and this restaurant is far ahead of all standard mexican restaurants. It is the same cuisine but with more attention to detail and excellent value for money. Do not expect fine dining but next leven mexican food in an astonishing atmosphere!

If you like microwaved, unhealthy food, this is the place for you. Huge menu which always is a bad thing to my mind. Eveything smothered in cream, cheese, super fatty food. Food was cold in places, warm in others which indicates the use of a microwave. Service was okay, nothing amazing. Its not even that cheap, I would not go... More
