The Best Authentic and Cheap Mexican/Yucatecan Cuisine in Valladolid!

I loved this restaurant and ate here for lunch almost every day that I stayed in Valladolid. They are only open for lunch and are always packed with locals. They have everything, all Yucatecan specialties and more, and for the best price. You'll know it right away, all the locals go there and pretty much ignore the rest.

We had a mixed bag of food at this lonchoria. Stayed next door at Él Mason and decided to try lunch here based on TA reviews. The Sopa de Lima was tasty, but the chicken tacos were cold and tasteless. My husband ordered the chuleta. Instead of grilled pork chops it was 2 ham steaks, tasty, but not what expected.... More

We went all in and bought too many tacos, tostadas and tortas. Its cheap, tasty and the line here is long. This booth is the furthest in the food court.

Stopped here for lunch. Out of the other options at this food court, this place seemed like the most popular, and we figured, the best tasting. So we took a chance. Not knowing spanish, or the food, we basically ordered a wide of selection of items. The sopa de lima was pretty good. As were the tacos, salbutes and penuchos.... More

45 pesos for a meal that won't leave you hungry. Good selection of local food, great place for the budget minded.

My wife and I had lunch here following a recommendation from our hotel. The Amigo Casiano is one of the food outlets in the small food and clothing market off the corner of the main square in Valladolid. We asked the guys serving behind the counter what they had prepared that day and were given a chicken soup (sopa de... More

The food is very good in what looks like a place for locals. I had the winik plate which had 4 great local meat dishes, plus salad and rice. Problem is that it is quite hot in midday, obviously no air conditioning, but not even a fan, the place felt like an oven. Houseflies were everywhere, but none of us... More

This was a good stop for lunch on our way to the coast. Our name was called to collect our order. The veggie option was disappointing. The meat was top notch! Great drinks. friendly staff (did not speak english) A great tip in Mexico: eat with the locals. In this indoor market plaza, you can choose from a great selection... More

This was a great choice for us for lunch. We were staying in the Riviera Maya and were wanting something a little different than the ceviche and other sea food dishes we had been having. We stopped in here. I had the best tacos of the trip. My lunch items were 8 pesos each. You need to be able to... More
