shrimp in pineapple boat was wonderful and I also liked the Indonesian dish that the chef prepared. did not dislike anything
My sister and I just spent a week at a hotel near Maya Luna and really appreciated having such great food nearby even though we were pretty removed from it all! The food is fantastic...the best option around Mahahual. Caroline and Jan are really sweet hosts as well. Definitely try the ceviche...it was some of the best I've ever had!... More
The food was wonderful, and we also stayed there so that was even better! There is a great feel to this place along with the people as well. Caroline and Jan are great people and their place is simply heaven on earth.
Everyone ordered- and loved the shrimp and rice dish in a pineapple shell. Also had a terrific fish soup - I ordinarily would never order either of these, but loved it! Don't go with large group of the poor lady who runs the bar and front of the house will faint - no way to do large group without advance... More
A wonderful experience was had by all. We came in with 12 people and overwhelmed the restaurant. However, they made it work and served us an excellent meal! Don't miss the stuffed pineapple!!!!
We were recently in Costa Maya aboard a cruise ship and wanted a quiet beach day away from the crowds on the ship. Maya Luna was the perfect spot for us. The owners were warm and welcoming. We had lunch in the restaurant and it was outstanding. I had the stuffed pineapple - a pineapple half stuffed with a warm... More
We had a fixed menu (del noche) meal for New Year´s eve but only one of our 4 meals was enjoyed. Starter was 2 very thin slices each of melon and serrano ham. Only 2 choices for main course. There was also unfortunately no entertainment as expected for the evening. A pity as this place came highly recommended.
Great choice for the area, had a local fried fish wich was delicious and goign back tomorroe fortheir famous shrip in a pineapple dish ...worth the stop for sure...
We enjoyed our stop at this restaurant while we were at port in Mahahual. The food was tasty and the service was great. The food was reasonable in price. The restaurant was clean. We would return to this restaurant.
An excellent and special culinary experience thanks to a balanced mix of local, Mexican and European, mostly Dutch and German recipes. Ask for the stuffed pineapple!
