We stayed at a nearby establishment and visited Travel In one evening for dinner. The patio was full so we sat inside, where I was a bit troubled by flies buzzing past my ear. We realized we were near two perpendicular windows and so in the path of these creatures. After adjusting our seats slightly we were more comfortable. I... More

Justa and Albert are amazing hosts who made us feel like part of the family. We stayed down the road at Balamku Inn on the Beach for two weeks over Christmas and ate at Travel In' almost every night. Justa's pita bread with garlic dip is not to be missed, her fried fish is sublime and Albert's orange ice cream... More

We were a group of 5 staying down the road from TravelIn and walked down for dinner twice in 6 days. Everything is made to order-so we Americans had to adjust-but it was easy once you realized the quality of the food. Drinks and delicious home made pita bread with yummy garlic spread eased the wait-along with good conversation on... More

Travel'In is so worth a visit. The owners Albert and Justa are super hosts. The food is European style with always changing specials. Justa's pita pizzas and pita with hummus are so yummy.Like other reviewers said it is important to be patient as Justa cooks everything. The shrimp I had was so incredibly fresh and tasty. The pork was a... More

Staying down the road in an apartment and went for dinner at the Travel in. The hosts Justa and Albert are great people. The fish I had was so perfectly cooked. It was soft and creamy in texture and tasted super fresh. The home made orange ice cream is also a treat. They also had some good cheap local artisan... More

We went for dinner and was a bit worried about driving on the pothole filled dust road at night, which felt like being in the middle of nowhere in the dark. Even though it's only six kilometers away from town, it took over fifteen minutes. Restaurant is run by the husband and wife that managed the B&B. We had the... More

Next time you are in Mahahual, Costa Maya Mexico - take the time to drive south about 6 KM for dinner - you will NOT be disappointed. Not only is the food made to order with a great menu, and not only is it well prepared and delicious - but you have the added bonus of meeting and talking with... More

I think this is the best place to eat in all of Mahahual. It's located about 6km south of town, but it's worth the trip. We had stuffed poblanos and they were out of this world! We've eaten in almost every restaurant in Mahahual (been going there for about 8 years now) and this is the best place for sure.... More
