I don't know why everybody is raving about the tacos... Did you try the fresh homemade pasta. My wife had the spicy shrimp pasta, my daughter had the carbonara, and I had the bolognese. All were superb. We started with a very fresh arugula salad which was served a light dressing. We also had the caprese salad, but I found... More

After reading so many great reviews for this restaurant, my family was excited to try it on our recent trip to Akumal. We stayed at a house down the street, so we could easily walk there. We had a group of 5 adults and 2 children. We were the first customers of the evening, and service seemed to be a... More

Tacos al Pastor are simply great. VERY flavorful, plenty of meat per taco, fast, excellent salsas, cold beers. What's not to like. (Tacos are a snack, a bite. So, to have this amount of meat on your taco is special. This is a Sunday must !!! Open at 1pm till >>> Sorry, have not looked at menu past al pastor... More

If you weren't staying out near Yal Ku you will definitely need a car to get here (or take a taxi from the village) It is a bit tricky to find. Follow the signs to Yal Ku. They are small with limited seating so calling ahead might be a good idea. Good pastas. Menu is hand written and changes every... More

I was invited with some friends to enjoy some great Tacos Al Pastor a few weeks ago. Took wife, child, myself and Mom. We all really enjoyed it. The restaurant was not busy, so, I figured, perhaps service and quality was excellent due to that. So, I returned this last Sunday, and yes, they were busy (aha! so I thought).... More

Sunday night tacos there are a must! We walked from our condo in half moon bay and it was a ittle tricky finding the place but the tacos al pastor were definitely worth the effort! We ended up going back the next afternoon on our way home from the lagoon. We were really just looking for a snack but the... More

Go to Que Onda for great comfort food on a Sunday - my personal Favorite the home made beans and the Gringa taco al pastor.. The best thing to a kebab from England you can get... Really love going here on a Sunday for tacos, chilled, simple, in expensive Excellent food - Worth the 25 minute drive!!

Have been there several times before they changed thing up, and I must say, it was not that great. First of all, they don't have enough staff to run the place, and not enough seating. There is just a handful of tables, and people were waiting for our table, which made us feel as if we had to rush, which... More

coming to the mexican riviera for years and never saw tacos al pastor til now. the restaurant is tucked away on a rough road going into yalku but the seating outside is wonderful if you get to sit near the owner as it is like being with friends in the living room. the chef is doing the cooking on the... We visited Akumal for a small, family only, wedding in February. Once we discovered Que Onda everyone enjoyed multiple meals there. We loved it so much that we had our wedding reception there as well. The food is fresh, service good, and the al fresco atmosphere is fabulous. Make sure to go by on Sunday and get tacos during lunch.... More
