Half way through our vacation to Akumal we thought we’d opt for a little pasta break. Pasta was good, portions were small, drinks were weak, and prices were high for what you get. We also felt we got grifted as far as the exchange rate is concerned (we ~thought~ we’d have enough pesos). As another reviewer noted – it might... More

The pasta I have always loved, but now on Sundays Que Onda is offering tacos pastor and tacos de res (beef). Perfect easy meal.

Had been here before several years ago before they changed hands; and decided to try it again based on recommendations from friends. Was a little disappointed. The homemade pasta was good..but not extraordinary. The bruschetta and garlic bread were stale and tasteless. Good spot for a quick lunch of pasta and a couple of beers. Other than than that? Probably... More

My group of eight had dinner here this evening. I was delighted to see they are open again. This little restaurant in the middle of the jungle is great. They could do with out the huge TV that over takes most of the restaurant. We all enjoyed many of the different pasta dishes, some beers, wine and sodas. For eight... More

Our family of three had a nice Italian dinner in this quiet jungle spot. Away from the crowds and noise, good service and very reasonable prices. A little sanctuary in Akumal and nice change from the busier restaurants.

We had dinner here a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The pasta is fresh, and the sauces are original. I had the pesto pasta, my husband the carbonara. Very yummy! Nice wines as well. The setting isn't on the beach but it is tranquil and very relaxing.

The carbonara (sp?) was excellent! Fantastic homemade pasta made just right. Cute little place near the end of HMB road. We enjoyed the excellent service here 1 evening recently and it happened to be taco night, which was kind of attached to this restaurant. They had large spits of meat ( looked like donair meat for all the Canucks out... More

My wife and I stumbled across Que Onda on a recent trip around the Yucatan. From the minute we arrived Maribel was a great host and made us feel at home. We stayed for 2 nights. The access to the lagoon was amazing and we snorkeled each day completely by ourselves. Our second night we had a delightful dinner at... More

I never would've expected to find this place down the road from our condo! What a nice surprise. No complaints whatsoever. Try it if you can find it!
