What a Find - You Must Dine Here

We were tipped off about Que Onda by folks renting a condo next to ours in North Akumal. Sunday nites they have a soft taco and quierdas special and you have to get there early since they run out. It is unbelievably inexpensive and delicious. Full bar and the margaritas are really good. On other... read more

Wish we had found this restaurant earlier in our stay. I had fish fillet and partner had Scampi ( a shrimp linguini). Both were wonderful. Quiet and peaceful location. Service was excellent.

Que Onda I love the atmosphere, located near Yalku Lagoon it is an oasis nestled in a garden setting. Locals greet each other with hugs, and at chatty with visitors to the area. Dog friendly so I took my chihuahua. Lasagna is my go to dish here, but the pasta Maribel is delicious as is the scaloppine. The mariachis showed... More

I went to Akumal for vacation with my husband and Sister and her fiancé. We ate at many of the Akumal Playa Restaurants. Que Onda has a great atmosphere and wonderful food. The wait staff were extremely attentive and great service. I had the Seafood with noodles and cream sauce it was to die for. Very good prices. They play... More

Our party of 7 enjoyed a relaxing dinner. The food was excellent and service was excellent. We all had different items and everyone was very happy with their meal. We've been the Que Onda several times as we have been visiting Akumal for several years.

Found this on our way to Yal-Ku park. Absolutely wonderful in all respects. Good drinks. Wonderful serene atmosphere under a giant palapa. Finally the food. To die for. We had the Filet Mignon with 3 pepper sauce, Scallopini Marsala and Shrimp Marabelle.

In the past we have been hit or miss with Que Onda. This year we heard they had a taco Sunday and only Sunday. We stopped by and saw a chef outside with beef and pork hanging with a 3 step barbeque. They made 2 types of tacos at only 15 Pesos each. I think we had 8 or 9... More

On Sunday afternoons you'll be drawn to the delicious aroma coming from Que Onda in North Akumal. The source of the smell is a grill setup beside the restaurant where the tacos pastor are made. They load each tortilla up with meat, onions, pineapple, cilantro, and spices. It's served both red and green sauces, and they are heavenly. I ordered... More
