In the past we have been hit or miss with Que Onda. This year we heard they had a taco Sunday and only Sunday. We stopped by and saw a chef outside with beef and pork hanging with a 3 step barbeque. They made 2 types of tacos at only 15 Pesos each. I think we had 8 or 9... More

Hard to find, but worth it. Great Italian food served by friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Right next to Yal Ku lagoon.

On Sunday afternoons you'll be drawn to the delicious aroma coming from Que Onda in North Akumal. The source of the smell is a grill setup beside the restaurant where the tacos pastor are made. They load each tortilla up with meat, onions, pineapple, cilantro, and spices. It's served both red and green sauces, and they are heavenly. I ordered... More

While vacationing in Half Moon Bay in Akumal Mexico we stumbled upon a restaurant near Yal-Ku lagoon. We had a wonderful lunch there. Italian food is their specialty and we tried their homemade pasta. I had Arribiata and my husband had Bolonase. Both were delicious and beyond our expectation. We were warmly greeted by Natalia the hostess and waitress. She... More

One of the best, ..... no the best meals we had in QR. Great service, great pasta. In the middle of no place. Check it out.

enjoyed two dinners at Que Onda during our week long stay in Akumal. The restaurant can be a challenge to find but the pay off is amazing. Outstanding pasta, great wine, delicious salads and dessert in a funky eclectic and casual setting. Service was warm and friendly.

Who would have thought? – a very good Italian restaurant in the middle of nowhere by the Yal Ku Lagoon. We ate here on 3 occasions and enjoyed the food each time. The lasagna bolognese was one of the best lasagnas I have ever eaten (and certainly the meatiest). All the pastas we tried were excellent. The wait staff was... More

We were there on New Years Eve, and it was a lovely relaxed, warm atmosphere. The food was great. We ordered 4 different. Eats, and I probably loved the pasta Cabonara the best. We found the chocolate mousse too rich. Although the food was great, the highlight was the atmosphere - thatched roof, neat music from the 80s/90s and lots... More

Even that the place is located in a great spot is empty and I know why now. The food in the plate are so poor to be completely honest I never have paid 130 pesos for not even a complete tomato I'm a capresse salad. The porcions of the plates really impressed me linking with the prices. Very bad!! Never... More
