Amazing fish tacos

Ate here for lunch one day. The staff doesn't speak much English but we had no problem ordering our food. We ordered the pork, lamb, and fish tacos. The pork and lamb tacos were good. The fish tacos were GREAT! Definitely must try the fish tacos if you go here. They're also very generous with... read more

I went here for take-out, but once I found it, I wish I had eaten lunch there as it is a locals setting in Akumal Pueblo. The folks serving you are wonderful and very accommodating. We were able to communicate my order with my limited spanish, an english menu, and a few hand gestures thrown in. Another staff member spoke... More

If staying in Akumal (or probably anywhere), get yourself out of the tourist area and into town. We had excellent mexican food here for less than half the price of anywhere else we ate. If you are staying in a condo this is a must. We had the pork tacos. You order the meat by the kilo. We had enough... More

Carnitas(pork) tacos were super especially with chopped onion and cilantro on top. Table salsas are green(tomatillo) salsa(mild , very tasty) and red (tasty and very hot). I had a freshly made pineapple juice and later flan. Everything was excellent. The staff was very attentive, nice and a few spoke English. This is off the main street 1 block, easy to... More

This charming little family owned restaurant is on the side street to the north of the main road leading the hill into the Akumal pueblo. Meat dishes are cooked to perfection in an open air kitchen by the friendly staff. This is a great place to stop for takeout but go before late afternoon before they sell out. Very inexpensive... We were actually seen on the side of the road when an american couple pulled up and told us about this place. Boy were we lucky they did because the meal was wonderful. Really delicious local food at really great prices. All of the food is made fresh which was awesome!

We hired a taxi driver to take us for the day to Tulum from our resort and asked him to take us to a good local restaurant. He took us to this little family run restaurant in Akumal. Not fancy but who cares, was the best fish tacos all four of us had ever had. We asked for them not... More

If in Akumal and you're willing to walk 15 mins from the main beach into the town or pueblo, this low key but well run taco joint is completely worth it! Prices are very reasonable and as someone who lived many years in this area, I can say with experience that every bite of food was local food heaven! It's... More

The best suprise in town (pueblo side). They serve Mexican food which is really cheap. The place is simple, very clean and managed by the family who owns it. They are really nice and friendly and they can definitely cook properly. I always go back for my Pork Tacos they are delicious.
