Fun cenote

Beautiful world below and above water line. Even a Couple from Chicago married and snorkelling in gown and tux was added attraction.

Great margauritas, clam chowder, and sandwiches. While watching the waters from the cenote bubble up into the sea, from an outdoor restaurant.

There were many barracudas to swim with when I was there which was fine. It was peaceful but definitely not my favorite cenote. I did love where it came out into the ocean.

gary is always the convivial host. Straight forward honest an direct. If people haven't got the brains to understand this they should go back to snow land

Casa Cenote is a classic, beach restaurant right on beautiful Tankah Bay, with seating outside or under the roof. The original owner, Gary, is still cooking in the kitchen, and they have the best mixed seafood ceviche hands-down (and I order it everywhere I go!). There are some lovely accommodations on the beach to rent as well. Check out their... More

The restaurant is a beautiful spot along 5th Avenue, incorporating a cenote as part of the décor, or maybe the cenote includes the restaurant in its décor. It is quiet and tasteful, the food is excellent and the service is to be cherished. The restaurant is cooled by the water and air from the cenote. It is readily accessible to... More

We ate a dinner for six at Casa Cenote, and were charged a hand-written 300 pesos "tax" on our bill. I haven't been charged tax at any other restaurants in Tulum. Has this happened to anyone else?

It is always a pleasure to dine with Gary Phillips, the owner of Casa Cenote. I remember when he opened using coolers 20 plus years ago, driving back and forth to Cancun to ensure fresh food on the once very remote beach of Tankah. I always enjoy my return visit to Casa Cenote that consistently offers the best margaritas and... More

We have been going to Casa Cenote for a number of years and always enjoy sitting under the palapa looking out at the beach. The area is really busy during the day due to the beautiful cenote just across the street, but the restaurant was very quiet the night we went. We had really good shrimp fajitas and grilled shrimp.... More

Right on the beach. Unpretentious. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable. The best margaritas - 2 glasses for 70 pesetas! - and super shrimp fajitahs. Good value "Texan BBQ" Sunday lunchtime. We were in the Blue Sky hotel and lunched here several times. Don't go if you don't like dogs!
