My favorite breakfast in Akumal.

I have been eating here since 1990. It is fresh and consistent. An excellent choice for a casual local breakfast or lunch. And for a laid back dinner its a nice spot to belly up to the counter, grab a bit and call it a night.

Head across the bridge into the Pueblo for a much better value. The food isn't bad, but it's grossly overpriced in comparison. Don't be held hostage just because it's on the "tourist" side. There are numerous places to eat that are delicious and that don't take advantage of you. That being said, if you do decide to eat here the... More

We have been coming here for over 10 years and are never disappointed. Great prices and good food. I have attached an updated menu with current prices.

I have been to Akumal numerous times, and this is generally one of the first places I stop. The reviewer the said "Best molé sauce ever!" was not exaggerating. It's an absolute MUST HAVE. I really can't say enough about the Loncheria, it has to be discovered. A little slice of heaven in paradise.

Really good local Mexican food in a totally casual, outdoor setting right near Akumal beach. Eight of us had lunch sitting at the counter and really enjoyed it.

Went for breakfast. Easily the best flavor and authenticity for your money. Quick service and delicious food. Good proportions. We had the chilaquiles Rojos and the desayuno mexicano ; both great. The fresh agua de Sandia (watermelon water) was amazing and half the price of the "comal de akumal".

Delicious homemade food! The chicken enchiladas with mole sauce was one of the best things I ate on my vacation. My husband had the chicken quesidillas, and loved them..especially with the salsa. Not a fancy place...just a lunch counter. But it is definitely a "must visit" place if you want authentic Mexican food. Prices were very reasonable..we both ate lunch... More

The food here is decent, not great, but simple and good. The people are friendly, I love sitting at the counter and grabbing a quick bite. The prices have definitely gone up over the years, but so has the selection. I really hope they keep it simple. The area is growing so fast, I'd hate to see this place change.

Homemade delicious food. You're right out on the street, where you watch the beautiful throngs of people milling back and forth from the beach. Tacos, magnificent, great tasting meat, guacamole, yes! Burritos, yes. Yucatan Style pork plate, the BEST! The Yucatan is basically a stir fry with high quality meat and tortillas. Ok, a big bottle of delicious Mexican Coke,... More

We came back from diving and we were hungry, we stopped here to eat. Considering that the day before, we got fish tacos in Tulum for 85 pesos and they were fabulous i would not bother with this loncheria. The mole was awful very sweet, a lot of sugar in it. the quesadillas were ok. not much to write home... More
