I visited Akumal in November and then again in February. On both trips my wife and I ate 90% of our lunches there. I love their salsa and the mole enchiladas or quesadillas are a must try. Don't miss out on a cheap and authentic meal.

Outdoor seating near the grocery stores before going through the arches to get near the beach. Popular with locals as well as tourists, so you know the food must be good! Local food at a great price. I always stop here a few times when in Akumal. Huevos Rancheros mmmmm. The soup is fantastic and all served with a friendly small. Can't go wrong stopping here.

Loved everything we tried. My favorites are Huevos Rancheros, Poc chuk, Cheese quesadillas, and Chilaquiles Verdes! Meals are served with fresh corn tortillas, and fantastic fresco salsa. My favorite place for breakfast. Anything is good, but I really like to have egg, cheese and bacon tacos. Nothing fancy, spartan appearance, but good food. Beats the Lol Ha breakfast dining room hands down, and you pay at least half at Loncheria.

Love the tacos here. If we are in Akumal Bay and get hungry, this is the spot. I always get the pork tacos and they are always good.
