Jenn and Bart the owners are super stars rather your there for breakfast with there fresh baked goods or dinner with homemade ice cream for dessert a visit to Akumal would not be complete without stopping at this local tradition the Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery. The only complain is to much goodness and my waistline suffers. There are the... More

The best breakfast, by far, that we had during our eleven day stay in Akumal. Ambiance is very good. Outdoors, palapas, colorful chairs and tables, nice garden atmosphere. Service very good although the kitchen was slow at times. Presentation was excellent. The plates were as nicely presented as any I have ever seen. Food quality was very good. Try the... More

We had breakfast almost every morning. The banana pancakes and eggs Benedict (all variations) were favorites. The coffee and lattes were good. A variety of cats in the surrounding vegetation entertain by playing/hunting little lizards.

The food was terrific -- including the best, cleanest salads I ate while in Mexico. The service was pleasant and EFFICIENT from start to finish. Only suggestion is that the staff could smile a bit more, but I'm sure they get tired. Excellent experience.

sometimes you just need a little sweet or homemade ice cream. This is the place! Great ! Right off the beach behind everything else, but anyone can point you there. Busy with locals and visitors!

We spent 9 days in Akumal recently and ate at Turtle Bay 2-1 vs. anywhere else. Our favorite place for breakfast and lunch. Dinner was great too but there are so many options around the area. Highly recommend just about everything on the menu! Can't wait to return, it felt like our little home away from home honestly.

We dine at Turtle Bay at least a half a dozen times while we are staying in Akumal. They have a great variety of dishes all of which are very tasty. They have also made our son's birthday cake for several years now which is always perfectly scrumptious not to mention beautifully decorated.

So my friend and I were staying at the Akumal Bay Resort and we were steered towards the "bakery" in town by another guest. We got there and we were shocked by their Funky Monkey smoothies. The food was mind blowing and I would recommend it to anyone who wants some delicious grub. So here is what we ordered: -... More

All dished well prepared and tasty. The owner is a wonderful baker, so sweet breads in the morning or desserts after dinner are really great. The tortilla soup used to be better, but everything else has been great. Liked the addition of flatbreads - the mexican was our favorite. Also liked stopping in for Lucy's ice cream. Reasonable prices and... More
