Great Mexican Coffee and Eggs

Nice location, great coffee and inspired egg dish with chaya leaves. It's been three weeks since I ate at the Turtle Bay Bakery and Cafe and I still remember the sauteed chaya leaves and the goat cheese. The waiter was very accommodating of my cow's milk allergy, hence the goat cheese... read more

Turtle Bay has a varied menu with a great selection of fresh food and many vegetarian-friendly options. We had breakfast there, and the portions were huge and the food was delicious! We also had drinks one evening, and their bar is extensive. My husband is a bit of a beer snob and found many local brews to his liking. I had... More

We were just wandering around Akumal after snorkeling with the turtles and we found this really nice place. I highly recommend this place.

Popped in here on our way up from Akumal beach/bay ( It`s over to your right as you leave the beach). Tried the highly recommended home made Lucy's Ice-cream and it really is as good as everyone raves about. The peanut is lush. Had a couple of cookies etc and everything was demolished by the family in seconds. You can... More

I visited this great little eatery in 2014 and thought it was fantastic. I had a few breakfasts then and sampled the ice cream. I loved it. This trip I have had dinner twice and think it is even better. Night one was blackened fish tacos, which were excellent. Night two were grilled arrechere beef tacos, which were simply the... More

I ate here twice during our recent holiday in Mexico and was impressed. The fish tacos were delicious and the portions were generous. The bread was also really tasty. Soft and fresh.

Viktor, our tour guide in the Cenote Santa Cruz recommended this restaurant to us. My hubby ordered shrimp fajitas and I had fish tacos. Absolutely delicious, we are so glad we got away from the hotel buffet to eat off property. The ice cream? You have to order it, soooo creamy and tasty.

We have eaten breakfast at Turtle Bay twice thus far during our current trip to Akumal and it has been terrific each time. All of the breakfasts we have tried have been excellent, including the huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, french toast and others. The staff have been friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant.
