Breakfast, lunch or dinner. This place is the best of the best

I can't express how much we loved Turtle Bay Bakery and Cafe whilst we were staying in Akumal, Riviera Maya. We had looked it up on the Internet prior to our trip and we are a family of five fussy vegetarians. It caters for all tastes and has plenty of veggie options. The wait staff were always... read more

as a U.S. Resident. This restaurant seemed like every Mexican restaurant in the U.S..not bad just nothing special. It felt like dishes they thought gringos would like.

The food was good and the prices were fair, the ice cream was incredible!! We went back every day so we could try all the flavors. The dark chocolate habanero was to die for!!!

We come here for breakfast at least once every time we are in Akumal. The breakfasts and pastries/sweet breads are really great. The service is so friendly, and the setting is just wonderful and relaxed. The standard "American" style breakfasts are really good, with fluffy pancakes and delicious French Toast, the burritos were also really good. The breakfast skillet disk... More

Found this place by accident and what a find! Walk further out of beach cafe, restaurant area and you will see it, far far nicer food especially the baby calamari and the burgers! Also if your pushing the boat out would highly recommend the Key-lime cheesecake!

Turtle Bay was on my radar while planning our trip, and it became our go-to spot for fresh baked items. They open at 7am, and have a decent selection of items on display by 7:20am or so. Their raspberry and brown sugar coffee cake slices were a hit in our home as were the many different muffins. We ate breakfast... More

Extensive menu, with great smoothies. Overall very good value, large portions, very tasty food. The seating was a bit cramped, which is the only reason it missed a 5 rating. Definitely worth visiting.
