We went to this café while on a day trip to Akumal, and loved it! We both had the blackened fish tacos, which were just amazing. We then had icecream from Lucy's homemade icecream, which was so good - just what we needed on a day as hot as that! I had the turtle tracks icecream, coconut with caramelised nuts... More

Turtle Bay Bakery & Cafe is an indoor - outdoor eatery located in town center of Akumal, a few steps from the arco. You'll find good food and freshly baked goods. As with other patios in the Akumal town square, bug repellant is advised! While you're there, there's always Lucy's Ice Cream...

We had the blackened shrimp tacos and Akumal beer while watching the World Cup Final. Great place. The servers were very friendly. We ended up eating 3 meals here during our week in Akumal.

I was in Akumal for 5 days and came here 3 times. Food was great - especially the brie quesadilla. Unfortunately I seemed to end up with the same male server each time and he was so miserable. I didn't see him smile once. It put a damper on it a bit.

Really good breakfast and fresh coffee. The ice cream is good too! The fans help keep you cool while eating under the palapa and there is a cat nearby who will sleep away the day!

We made three visits, two breakfasts and an ice cream trip after dinner at Cueva del Pescador. Breakfasts were large and tasty and the ice cream is terrific. Excellent cappuccinos, too.

On a recent trip to Akumal we discovered Turtle Bay Café for lunch our first day in this quaint little town. We loved the food and the atmosphere so much that we ate there for dinner the same day, breakfast twice and my husband and son watched the last game of the World Cup in their bar. They have menus... We had 'happy hour' blackened fish tostadas that were really good! But the best was our dessert: Lucy's Handmade Ice Cream..yum, yum!

We went there for the happy hour : mojito's are very good, also the flatbreads (like a pizza but better than a pizza, they say) were very tasty, my teens were very happy: lots of choices and combinations. I took the tacos and I loved it. We will certainly go again to taste others things on the menu!
