Make'in Turtle Tracks

Had a relaxing, tasty lunch after spending a few hours snorkeling. (Be sure to look up 'new rules' to protect reef/turtles) Had the grilled fish tacos which were excellent! Follow them up with yummy "Turtle Tracks" ice cream. Highly recommended!!

The chocolate habanero ice cream was smooth and rich with a slight tingle. Regular chocolate was good, too. We also tried a few of their other favors as well, but found that the more ingredients, the more ice crystals seemed to form. A good way to finish off a dinner at Turtle Bay Cafe.

After enjoying a long day at Yal-ku Lagoon, we stopped in to get ice cream and sweets. I had a single scoop of salted caramel in a dish. There were about 20 different flavors and all sounded/looked good. Also picked up a coconut bar and a brownie. Both were large and very satisfying. There was real food too, but we... More

Just spent a week in Akumal and had Lucy's ice cream three times....fresh mint and chocolate chip, chocolate and turtle tracks (coconut with chocolate covered almonds). All three were delicious! Highly recommend if you're looking for a cold snack on a hot Akumal day. Waffle cones are delicious and fresh too. (Like other reviewers, miss the shrimp tacos, but Turtle... More

First off, the coconut and the and the dark chocolate habanero ice creams are out of this world good. The serving size is generous and the flavors are intense. Definitely the best ice cream in the area--you can tell it's homemade. Sadly, Lucy's no longer offers tacos, and her shrimp tacos were without a doubt the best around. I still... More

We stopped to Lucy's Kitchen for ice cream after lunch one day. I was really excited to try Turtle Tracks...a coconut ice cream with chocolate chunks in it. My husband had the Salted Caramel. We both thought the ice cream was just okay...nothing great. Probably would not return.

I have been on an Akumal Vacation for diving and snorkeling and seeing the archeological sites. Went to Lucy's to get some great bread for breakfast and saw the wonderful flavors of ice cream. Try the Akumal Road flavor. You can get samples of different kinds. Best I have ever had. Don't miss this treat and she has really wonderful... More

We have been coming to Akamel for about 10 years and we always looked forward to the fresh ice cream after a hot day at the beach. It was made fresh daily, and if you didn't make it there in time they would run out. Our most recent visit in Feb 2015 was a major disappointment. 7 ice creams came... More

We ate here after a dive because of the reviews and the reviews were spot on. We started with the tortilla soup the flavor was excellent. Then we had coconut shrimp and shrimp tacos, both were very good as well. Needless to say we were very full.
