Dinner and a show!

I had the chance to dine here in July of 2014, as well as July of 2015 this year. Both times, I took a tour with Your Private Tour with Jay. Lunch here is a part of the tour package. This is a gorgeous restaurant on the beach. We like to sit under the shade palm tree in the sandy... More

Nice beach front restaurant, not very big but it really works. The mussels were excellent. My wife had the goat cheese salad and her tuna was tasty and cooked as requested. I also had the coconut shrimps which were very good. We were lucky because as dusk fell, a turtle emerged from the sea and came within 15 feet and... More

Love - Love - Love this place! The food is fresh, well portioned, and full of variety. Local food is made from scratch and served hot! Sitting on the beach you'll enjoy the sound of the ocean and view of nests where turtles come to lay their eggs. Favorites: We ordered a variety of margaritas -- the best was the... More

Food is let's say "okay" Service needs to be improved. Ceviche with coco milk is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Shrimp tostadas are not worthwhile and the shrimp cocktail has way too much ketchup. Prices are average to expensive.

We ate at La Lunita three times during our five night stay in Akumal. I missed the first meal (lunch), as I was feeling a bit sick. I was told by my wife that the food was good, but the portions were small. We ate dinner there twice. Nice open air restaurant right on the beach. Great for families, but... More

A bit pricey, like most of Riv Maya, but a really nice patio bar and restaurant to watch the reef and the mellow surf. Great Margaritas!

Yummy ceviche & cocktails. Lovely beachfront location. Efficient and friendly staff. Nice with kids who can play on the sand. Also romantic without kids.

What can I say... this place is magical. They have a magarita that will knock your socks off if you silly enough to be wearing socks on the beach. The fish served is fresh off the boat. We had our wedding here last time we went to Akumal and they did a fantastic job. Every time we come to Akumal... More
