La Lunita was located right below our condo so we went there a couple times on our trip. It is a little pricier than some of the other options around town but I would say its worth the cost. Order a few small plates and a margarita and let your cares melt away. We recommend the coconut ceviche. Really one... More

Started with a fresh mango margarita, so sweet & tasty with that spicy salt rim. Next I had the cream of roasted garlic soup, which was topped with grilled shrimp & toasted coconut. Such a unique dish, the perfect combination of flavors & textures; I am hoping to re-create the dish at home. Finished with the lacquered duck tacos, very... More

Fantastic beach setting and great service. We had fried calamari and when it arrived, it was just rings--no tentacles. This screams either frozen squid or even worse. Our appetizers included a shrimp and fish ceviche which was incredible. The entree, a snapper filet with some type of red chile sauce was impressive. After debating dessert, we decided to take a... Our private tour operator planned lunch for us at La Lunita. OH MY! Lunch was amazing! The chairs and tables are in the sand, right on the beach. The view was spectacular and the food even more so! Order the Sopa de Lima (Lime Soup) or the coconut ice cream.

My friends took me to La Lunita to celebrate my birthday. We ordered several dishes to share and all of them were really good. Specially the ceviches and the lamb burger. I loved the feeling of being so near the ocean with our table literally sitting on the sand. It is a well set restaurant, with very good service. Definitely... More

Really excellent seafood and service, and extensive (and reasonably-priced) wine list. They agreeably accomodated a group of 14 and teh food was just amazing!

If you are staying in Akumal, try this place out. Very nice view and setting....and very good food. I highly recommend it. The coconut shrimp was awesome and my garlic grilled grouper was very fresh and delicious. My girlfriend said it was the best Sangaria she had ever had.

Sitting right on the beachfront overlooking the bay, the food was fab. Simple but tasty and fresh. We had fish sautéed in garlic butter. Perfect! Would highly recommend this place.

This was our choice for a night of fine dining and it did not disappoint. The wonderful view of Half Moon Bay coupled with great food and wine made for a great night. A perfectly dressed Cesar salad was a good start and my grilled shrimp was cooked to perfection. Other meals were equally good and a creative key lime... More
