Good service, lovely setting

Beautifully presented food, and attentive service. The tables are right on the sand, and the lanterns strung around the tables make for beautiful ambience. The only drawback was that there was no entree choice available for vegetarians.

Not sure about the food, perhaps it was great, but there was nothing on the menu my kids could/would eat, so we left. Staff were nice and understanding however.

Nicest restaurant we ate at during our visit. Upper end setting and food (including food prices) but well worth the price. We had a very good spicy margarita and very impressed with our food.

The location and ambience were wonderful. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was generally decent but not outstanding. Prices were a little high considering the quality of the dishes. Presentation was lovely but I'd rather have better food.

I was really looking forward to going to La Lunita and fully expected it to be my favorite restaurant in Akumal but that did not happen. The location was lovely and the lights coming on as the sun set made for a very romantic setting. I do think part of my not loving it was that there was a large... More

The positive: grilled fresh fish good if a bit dry. Unimaginative sides of rice and pickled shredded carrots. The negative: ribs mediocre at best. Took an hour to get our food. Out of the first two bottles of wine we ordered.

Wonderful food. The chef here is head and shoulders above the rest. My only complaint is that now I can't go back to any of the other Akumal restaurants without being disappointed.

We ate at La Lunita for our last night in Akumal. It came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. The Margaritas were tasty and strong! The staff were nice & helpful and the setting on the beach marvelous! We each chose a Paella and they were both delicious! The fish and squid in mine were so fresh and lightly cooked to... More

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at La Lunita. We were seated at a table at the beach wall. We went mid-week, arrived just before sundown, and enjoyed a leisurely, peaceful meal. We each had a martini then our entree (coconut shrimp for me, steak for my husband). The coconut shrimp was a large portion and the breading... More
