For an almost empty beach this is a gem, fresh seafood Mexican inspired dishes did not disappoint. Shady beach seating along with a nice dining area below the hotel.

We stayed at the condos above but this was gourmet food in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was awesome and the view could not be better. Best mojitos!

Intimate dinning on the beach with an International high end menu and great service. Top suggestions include the calamari, lamb burger, duck tacos and spicy mussels.

Great atmosphere and more elegant dining experience in Akumal. I knocked it down to four stars though because the food was good but not great. However, if you are looking for a little bit nicer dining experience in Akumal, this is a good option.

Ate here between trips out to the reef snorkeling. The food was very good. The service ok and the open air view of the beach terrific. Highly recommend.

My family and I stopped here for lunch as part of a tour that we were taking. The price of the meal was included, so I can't comment on how expensive the meal was. Having disclosed that, I must say that this was probably the best meal I had during our vacation to the Riviera Maya. We ate our meal... More

We've been to La Lunita several times and enjoyed it each time. Even our daughter and grandchildren thought they had the best meals there. We each had different dishes, including oysters in tempura batter, chicken stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, the beef filet, lobster, and paella. All were excellent. And yes, it is more expensive than some restaurants in... More

We stopped by here for a few drinks one evening. When we got seated, I realized that this place was a bit more fancy than I expected. I told our waitress that we were just going to be having drinks as we already ate. They were expensive, took quite a while to get, and the bill took a long time... More

Only 2 good things to say, and the rest pretty bad. The Good: (1) the ambiance was very mod' - this could be good or bad depending on whether you wanted to go to a sleepy, Mexican town. (2) The location incredibly nice. However, The Bad: We ordered a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc that cost over $30. At a grocery store,... More
