No question we will return!

Absolutely fabulous lunch at La Lunita today. I had the fish tacos and my wife had the coconut shrimp tacos. Both were excellent. And we shared the spicy mussels, that were very tasty (and just the right amount of zing!). My wife particularly enjoyed the house made habaneros sauce - described as... read more

My husband and I went to La Lunita as it was a go to on our many trips to Akumal. This time it was disappointing. Couldn't read the menu as it was so dark, out of many items on the menu, service was poor and inattentive. I tried ordering a glass of dry white wine. He brought me a glass... More

We just returned from a week in Akumal in which we stayed very close to this restaurant. The location is gorgeous, the waiters were nice, but the food and drinks were average at best and were more expensive than places that we liked much better. The fish tasted under-cooked and under-seasoned, and the margaritas tasted like they added nothing sweet... More

Located on the beach in the center of Half Moon Bay, the location is not only beautiful but much quieter then the main Akumal Bay area. food was excellent and daily specials added variety to the menu. From drinks, appetizers, entrees to desserts we enjoyed it all. Service was good and paced to allow you to enjoy the atmosphere as... More

Had the most amazing end to a great visit to Akumal at this quaint little restaurant right on the beach. We happened to go the night of the full moon, which resulted in not only a delightful meal but a great show. The meal was awesome with fresh salads, delicious appetizers and five-star main courses. And the mini-churns with caramel... More

I had the chance to dine here in July of 2014, as well as July of 2015 this year. Both times, I took a tour with Your Private Tour with Jay. Lunch here is a part of the tour package. This is a gorgeous restaurant on the beach. We like to sit under the shade palm tree in the sandy... More

Nice beach front restaurant, not very big but it really works. The mussels were excellent. My wife had the goat cheese salad and her tuna was tasty and cooked as requested. I also had the coconut shrimps which were very good. We were lucky because as dusk fell, a turtle emerged from the sea and came within 15 feet and... More

Love - Love - Love this place! The food is fresh, well portioned, and full of variety. Local food is made from scratch and served hot! Sitting on the beach you'll enjoy the sound of the ocean and view of nests where turtles come to lay their eggs. Favorites: We ordered a variety of margaritas -- the best was the... More

Food is let's say "okay" Service needs to be improved. Ceviche with coco milk is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Shrimp tostadas are not worthwhile and the shrimp cocktail has way too much ketchup. Prices are average to expensive.
