We enjoyed our fish dinner at El Pescador which was served quickly and efficiently. There wasn't much atmosphere and the service was rushed and impersonal.

We were introduced when they cooked up our fish from fishing. Truly fantastic and simple. Our 10 yr old even raved about how good it was. We returned again for our farewell dinner and had the most amazing grilled lobster, calamari , grouper, shrimps and stuffed fillet. Truly wonderful food and the waitstaff are great. So attentive to your every... More

We can confirm... yes the margaritas are strong and tasty! The food is very well priced and while not the most amazing ever, its very very good. We would definitely recommend this place and will be returning on our next adventure to Akumal.

Seafood was good, although they did not have the whole fish when we were there. Margaritas were also very good. Very reasonable prices and good service.

This is quaint little restaurant in the village of Akumal. We are a family of 4 with kids ages 10 & 12. The food was tasty and all of us found something we liked. It made for interesting people watching, as many locals were there as well.

The menu has very little of mexican, and the dishes are pretty poor and badly presented. The waiter look bored, they serve you with the minimum effort. The only beer they had was Bavaria, not exactly mexican. Total disappointment, two stars just because the food was not too bad.

Food is very good. Drinks are very good (they make a good margarita!). Lively atmosphere with very pleasant and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. I have eaten here several times and will be returning very soon. If I had to complain, it would be about the mosquitoes; but not the restaurant. Wear some bug spray, especially around dusk.

We had lunch there one day. My wife had ceviche but was disappointed it was cooked. Still, she enjoyed it. It's a bit crowded but reasonable in price. Note: it's not on the beach.

"Cueva" as we refer to it locally is all about seafood. My personal favorite is ceviche. However no matter how you prefer your fish it is fresh and delicious. I have had arrachera (flank steak) there as well and it is yummy. The drinks are strong and the beer is cold. A great place to eat outdoors and watch the... More

Food is great- margaritas are a great deal and super yummy. I highly recommend the fried fish- it is excellent. They have several seafood dishes but this one was exceptionally delicious.
