Tasty food

The seafood stuffed fish was the best I have had - very unusual flavors. I would rate it higher except the service absolutely sucked. As with the place next door, it seemed like he was doing us a HUGE favor by waiting on us. It's a shame as we are both undemanding and great tippers under the... read more

This was one of our favorite restaurants on our vacation. I had the garlic and butter fish the first night....excellent! The second time we went here I had the curry sauce on the fish...still good, but I preferred the garlic and butter. My husband had the steak both nights and thought they were very good...cooked to perfection, and wrapped in... More

We visited once so may have been unlucky. The food was good and reasonably priced but the manager seemed tired and was not very helpful. The restaurant closes at 10pm.

We came here for seafood, and we kind of were expecting to be wowed--it didn't happen. The waiter was more interested in getting us to do shots than telling us about their selection of fish (which on the day we went turned out to only be groper). I got the seafood sampler, with catch of the day (groper), grilled shrimp... More

We stopped here for lunch after Tolum, but before snorkeling Akumal. It was good, not great, and the pricing was average. My wife wanted a fried fish and she got it, but it was bland. The cervichi I ordered was good, but not fantastic! The waiter was a bit overwhelmed and under motivated. It took a bit to get his... More

We ate here for dinner one evening. While not the best restaurant in Akumal, I would say this place is worth at least one visit, based upon the strength of the shrimp dish I ate. For the most part, average food & average service.

Had a great time at this place. Our house manager recommended we check out this place and we were not disappointed. Fresh seafood and pitchers of margaritas are hard to beat.

This place is right on par with surrounding restaurants Lol-ha and Turtle Bay. The tables are more quaint, basically slabs of trees. The guitar traveling guy played pop songs, but with a Mexican flare. Every place has outdoor seating, Pescador does as well. The waiter was truly hilarious. I got the garlic shrimp, boom! Get it. My wife got a... More

We went for dinner, which was very good. The waiter asked if we wanted to go fishing the next day and catch our own Mahi Mahi. We did and caught 3 beautiful fish. The cooks prepared them four different ways as we requested. Some of the best fish we've ever had.

2nd time return and the food and drink was just as good as last year. Unfortunately the mahi mahi that they thought would be showing up got sold to someone else before the fisherman made it in, but the food was still outstanding. Thumbs WAY up.
