happy accident!

I ended up at this restaurant accidentally - I was actually looking for Turtle Bay Cafe, and it was dark out, so I parked in the lot in front of this restaurant, which can be seen from the street. It was dark, so I missed any sign on the restaurant, and figured, well, I'll eat here! Tables were... read more

First off the restaurant is not located where Trip Advisor is showing. It is right next door to Turtle Bay bakery in Akulma. An employee of Budha Garden Spa recommend this gem. We tried it for lunch and were well pleased. Restaurant is very rustic but the food was amazing. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the... More

authentic seafood restaurant with sand and palapas. Lobster tails were large and only $25.00 for two.

So, unless you are a young hoc hie coochie looking for attention, your waiter could care less if you are happy with the food, forget the service. We've been to Akumal for 5 vacations so far. First visit I was disappointed, this time I'm pissed. Stuffed filet of fish, frozen fish, maybe fresh stuffed, but the waiter, you could loose in... More

Lobster and mini lobster plate only thing I have when ever we go there.Hole in the wall place. The best picture is a local watering hole that serves fresh fish and local atmosphere. Good prices good food great location. They make the best margaritas around try a jug then try to walk back to your hotel lol Highly recommend this... More

We came here on our first night in Akumal and it was a real treat. We had the seafood platter which was delicious and the langostinos. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful and the food was fresh and cooked well. The restaurant has a nice feel to it and is enjoyed by locals and tourists. Worth a visit.

We almost walked past this place without seeing it because it is hidden within the trees along the road next to the parking lot at Akumal Beach. We stopped for drinks only because we had eaten at the restaurant on the beach, which has prices four times what this family owned restaurant charges. The name means Cave of the Fisherman... More

This was one of our favorite restaurants on our vacation. I had the garlic and butter fish the first night....excellent! The second time we went here I had the curry sauce on the fish...still good, but I preferred the garlic and butter. My husband had the steak both nights and thought they were very good...cooked to perfection, and wrapped in... More

We visited once so may have been unlucky. The food was good and reasonably priced but the manager seemed tired and was not very helpful. The restaurant closes at 10pm.

We came here for seafood, and we kind of were expecting to be wowed--it didn't happen. The waiter was more interested in getting us to do shots than telling us about their selection of fish (which on the day we went turned out to only be groper). I got the seafood sampler, with catch of the day (groper), grilled shrimp... More
