Italian in Mexico! Not only was the food delicious, authentic, but the ambiance of this "joint" was a lot of fun (patio = funky architecture, occasional mariachis). We were greeted at the door, shown to a seaside table, and were served warm bread, and marinated olives that were so good... The wine list is ample. Seafood risotto is tasty and... More

Visited Punta de Mita for the second time with a friend this past April, and we both LOVED Villagio. I wish I'd taken pictures of the place itself, because it had such a wonderful ambience. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE palapas and traditional Mexican decor, but it was kind of nice to find a place with European/Italian flair. Yes,... More

Amazing wood burning oven, great pizzas. Pasta bolognese was ok, not enough meat but tasty nonetheless. Got takeout twice this week & great service. Drinks a little pricey but a definite must visit for their pizzas.

Had a great table by the beach area. Ate the seafood risotto which was wonderful. The wait staff suggested a wonderful wine to go with the risotto. Would definately go again.

We enjoyed dinner here. The food was excellent. Recorded music was romantic Italian. Prices are higher than we would expect in such a casual beach town. Most customers were expats. Only real downside was competitive music from the restaurant next door. We will dine here again.

What a beautiful restaurant that makes you feel as if your in Italy. The food was fresh, get the fish of the day! The pizza is out of this world and you'll be going back for more!

We recently "rediscovered" this restaurant. Acording to our waiter it has been under new management with a new menu since October of 2010. We loved the three cheese pizza, but the others also look good and will easily satisfy two people for a light meal. Each time we have eaten here we've been treated to a complimentary salad or appetizer.... More
