However, the prestige of the brand behind it, the fusion of cultures that create and taste dishes in place that seduce the senses, the privileged location, the warmth of its people, the comfort of their rooms and, of course, creativity , vision and unique gift of the owner Chef Thierry Blouet, make Cafe des Artistes del Mar an indispensable experience for visitors to the Bay of Banderas.

We had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. The honoree was presented with an over the top birthday dessert presentation. I could not have ordered anything any more perfect The food was all great and the seafood was as fresh as you get

Let me start by saying that our group reserved the whole restaurant (there were 80 of us), and that banquet service is tough for restaurants that don't provide it on a daily basis. The service was good. We were met with drinks as we were walking in the door and I chose a margarita style drink which was sweet with... More

It appears that the chef that has been here has been replaced by the "Steak House" chef. The quality of the food has shown signs of losing the cutting edge quality it use to have. Our Sea Bass did not taste fresh. The texture reflected to be frozen! This place is a very expensive location I would not expect nothing... More

We have now been here three times and have also eaten at Bahia, Carolina, Sufi, casa Teresa and the more casual si senor. From the food, service, hospitality, setting, this is a fabulous experience. Not to say the other places aren't great but the menu which is so varied and the entire experience is to us what a vacation to... More

We dined at Cafe des Artistes last night and had a wonderful experience. The food was fresh, delicious and innovative. Service was attentive but not invasive and as mentioned by other reviewers the view was outstanding. Yes, it is a pricey restaurant, but in our opinion there was good value and we will certainly return for another round of fabulous... More

We stayed at the Mayan Palace and if I had not been up into the country north of Puerto Vallarta previously I would have been sure we were being abducted. It was at least a 40 minutes cab ride through what felt like the complete boondocks. Our bellman at the hotel had encouraged us (and helped us arrange) for our... More

I dined here with a mid sized group (approximately 20) and we were offered a pre-set menu of eight courses which were very seafood oriented, specifically shell fish. One person in our party has a severe shellfish allergy and the chef immediately made adjustments so that she could enjoy her evening. I really liked the ceviche served in a cocktail... More

We were with a group of 8 people. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was very good. Does not look like much from the outside, but was very good. Try the Cucumber Margarita

The restaurant is located less than 10 minutes away from the St. Regis hotel. We were seated at a table just outside but no on the sand. It was perfect! The staff were wonderful letting us know what fish were local and their personal recommendations. The food and the presentations were great. My son had the surf and turf and... More
