Welcome to Teresita's Panaderia y Bistro in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico...My little brainchild that got out of control, as wild, creative children do. We evolved from selling a few baguettes a day, a few days a week, to serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We added a special wine menu, featuring Wagner wines imported from California, among others. We love to make specialty desserts such as chocolate, almond torte, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and the classic French tarte tatin. Our breakfast pastries range from warm almond croissant to morning glory muffins, scones and sticky buns. Our house-made breads include, of course, baguettes, but the list has grown to include Italian, Whole-wheat walnut, Rosemary, gluten-free and Organic Sonoran White wheat. We are always experimenting with new ingredients that we find, grow or harvest and will continue to work towards being as local, sustainable and organic as we can be.

My mom asked me if I wanted to pop into Teresita's for something sweet. I did not know how sweet it would be. A French bistro in the middle of a charming Mexican town. The cappuccino was to perfection and the carrot cake so large I had to take half home. We were sure to return for breakfast one day... More

Five of us were brought here by our city tour bus driver. We decided to stop for a wonderful lunch and cool refreshments. The courtyard has a fountain wall, beautiful plants and courteous service. We were so happy to have found this place!

Meals prepared by a world-class chef. Very good menu choices, and many deserts. My Don Julio tequila was served in it's own ice-chilled vessel. The bean soup appetizer was fantastic, as was the roast pork main dish. Triple chocolate mousse desert was decadent. Prices were extraordinarily reasonable for such a wonderful dining experience.

TripAdvisor reviews are nearly unanimous in their love for Teresita's. For that reason, it's very likely that my experience was the exception to the norm. My wife and I live in Sonora and travel a lot throughout Mexico. That being said, we have very low expectations for service. However, the American/Canadian presence in Alamos generally means service is far superior... More

Thank you so much for your honest input on your experience at Teresita's. I am afraid that your complaints are well founded. Without the input from our patrons we often times are not aware of where we have fallen short and where we can improve. I hope you will give us another opportunity. Sincere Thanks, Teri More

If you ever want to cheat a bit with carb intake GO HERE. The french toast is with homemade sour dough bread [owner's recipe]. The blue velvet french atmosphere is quaint and luxurious, reminding me of a few places back in Washington, DC. You will not be disappointed with this breakfast order~

Teresita's is a gem. Excellent food in a lovely setting. My husband had a tamale casserole with a bean sauce and he said it was perfect. I wasn't real hungry, so I just had the tomato and red pepper soup. But what a bowl of soup! Nice and hot, perfectly balanced, rich and tasty. My mouth is drooling right now... More
