Excellent Restaurant

The decor of Charisma is so charming with wonderful art pieces and wicker purse stands. The food was great--I had the spaghetti bolognese. The owner chatted with us; the service was impeccable.

Charisma is a great option in Alamos if you want another choice than Mexican food. Chef specials are particularly good. Atmosphere and decor is authentic and a great choice for a first time visit to this lovely town. Margaritas are the best! Service is slow but it's Mexico not the states. Hours are limited to Thursday-Sunday only. Pricey for Mexico.... More

The qualiy of the food, the atmosphere and the Chef, Joseph are the best! His ribs are better than New Orleans restaurants. A real treat!

Great ambience, extremely friendly service and good food. What more could one ask for? The decor is nice and they have a bar. The Chef came over to our table personally and told us about the different cuisines they could cater to.

When in the mood for something beyond traditional Mexican fare while in Alamos, there is no better choice than Charisma. Italian, French and Spanish dishes all offered with superior flavor and presentation. The menu is always changing with inspired specials. I had Boeuf Bourguignon and felt like I was at the Lapin Agile!

6 of us enjoyed our meals, the coconut shrimp were popular, the salmon in rice paper...not so much! The steak was not in the peppercorn sauce (per the menu) because of the total language barrier, not so good. Credit card charges are processed a few blocks away. . . it is Mexico:o)

We pre-booked a birthday dinner for 8 here. We were told it was busy and required a reservation. When we arrived there was only one single diner in the whole large place. Also, the music as promised was not there . We were happy anyway and ordered our dinners. Over an hour later the food arrived. Most dinners were fine,... More

Whether approached from the attached hotel, into the cozy bar, or directly from the street, into the dining room, Charisma more than meets the expectation of its name. The bar is small and friendly with a handful of booths which are the place to eat. The dining room is large and more formal. Wherever you decide to eat, the cuisine... More
