A must place!

If you go to Teotihuacan's pyramids, just pass over this place, it has perfect service and incredible food, not really sure if it is as authentic as any food truck on the city but is pretty good.

Set in a cave with lovely furniture, surroundings and a great menu with a huge variety of fresh meals to choose from. This is THE place to have lunch when visitng Teotihuacan. Another example of why Mexican cuisine is unrivalled in the world and is labelled as intangible.

Who had the idea of building a restaurant in this place is brilliant but even more the fact of combining very well prepared mexican dishes and a spectacle while you have lunch. I was extremely happy of selecting the best restaurant in the surroundings of the pyramids. What I could do is just recommend this venue to whomever I know... More

You won't fine a better place to have lunch nearby the pyramids of Teotihuacan, the food is good but the place is simply the best.

Aside from the fact my colleagues got me to eat grasshoppers, I absolutely refused to eat the worms and ant eggs. I did have the most delicious flank steak and yummy margarita. This place is so intriguing. It is basically a cave. Bring your sweater. But the ambiance is wonderful. The staff exceptional. You will have never been to a... More

Ate here after a visit to the pyramids. Unique surroundings and a reasonably priced menu for a tourist site. 5 of us ate lunch for 900 pesos. Varied menu with tasty food.

I was there with a group and we were served a set menu so I don't think I can comment on the regular menu but everything we had was great. The main attraction of this restaurant is that it is actually in a cave. It was totally amazing!

We had planned to visit Teotihuacan and my daughter in law had found a pin for La Gruta on Pinterest. She had done a little research and thought it would be a fun place to eat. It was incredible! Beautiful restaurant tucked into an ancient Aztec cave. It was decorated with tiny white lights and bright colors. Most amazing setting... More

Our tour stopped here after a morning at Teotihuacan and it was a dining adventure! I had the recommended rabbit dish nestled in a leaf; totally enjoyed it. I don't recall the rest of the group's meals however most were very impressed. The experience itself is worth the visit, the food is unique, drinks are good, service is good. Ask... More
