Ate here after a visit to the pyramids. Unique surroundings and a reasonably priced menu for a tourist site. 5 of us ate lunch for 900 pesos. Varied menu with tasty food.

I was there with a group and we were served a set menu so I don't think I can comment on the regular menu but everything we had was great. The main attraction of this restaurant is that it is actually in a cave. It was totally amazing!

We had planned to visit Teotihuacan and my daughter in law had found a pin for La Gruta on Pinterest. She had done a little research and thought it would be a fun place to eat. It was incredible! Beautiful restaurant tucked into an ancient Aztec cave. It was decorated with tiny white lights and bright colors. Most amazing setting... More

Our tour stopped here after a morning at Teotihuacan and it was a dining adventure! I had the recommended rabbit dish nestled in a leaf; totally enjoyed it. I don't recall the rest of the group's meals however most were very impressed. The experience itself is worth the visit, the food is unique, drinks are good, service is good. Ask... More

This restaurant was a friend's recommendation. After visiting the amazing Pyramids of Teotihuacan, this restaurant was the cherry on the pie! To get there, drive or walk to gate 5. This restaurant is located inside a cave. It is surrounded by a lush garden. The ambiance is great, the food tasty and the service is fast!

Deep in a cave, you descend into the Mesoamerican underworld to dine and drink. A large selection of amazing cocktails are available as well as an assortment of pre-colombian foods (fire ant eggs, for example) or local specialties. Nice selection of beers. The food is delicious and it is a one of kind travel experience.

We enjoyed this restaurant because it was out of the heat and it was very cool nice. It was nice to enjoy the nice food and cool atmosphere after being out in the sun with the pyramids

For lunch after the grand Pyramids of Teotihuacan, I highly recommend La Gruta. I arrived with four coworkers in between lunch and dinner time. The staff was attentive and helpful. Our orders were taken promptly. We splurged on the Escamole (sauted ant eggs) at the suggestion of our team leader. It was delicious. And the preparation was fun to watch.... More
