Wonderful experience! Food is expensive and they offer some very exotic dishes, like crickets and ant larva. You are eating in a cave, very unique.

La Gruta is one of the most unique and interesting restaurants I've ever enjoyed. Located in a picturesque cave, this restaurant prides itself on unique traditional Mexican recipes. An unexpected surprise is that it also has several recipes that were supposedly enjoyed by the native Indians, prior to the Spanish conquistadors. All ingredients claimed to be fresh and locally sourced.... More

We were a group of 8 people, so eating in a cave is not an everyday type of thing. The food was O.K. and the service was very good. We spent $ 2300 pesos including tips.

This was one of the most unusual, fun, and memorable eating experiences I've ever had. A gorgeous restaurant in a cave. The food was your typical Mexican fare but the restaurant setting is very special. You think you're lost on some road, come around the bend and you look down into a cave and the restaurant. If you're in the... More

After spending the day at Teotihuacán we were starving and found this restaurant. The fact that it's located in a cave is already cool but the staff is dressed traditionally as well and the food is delicious! However, it is also expensive. Prices for main dishes started at around 215 pesos.

The reason to come here is to eat in a cave. The lines are long so be in the waiting mood. I recommend that you eat elsewhere and then come here for dessert. You'll have a full and happy tummy, a heavier wallet and the line won't be as long as if you come earlier. The desserts are good and... More

Set in a cave with lovely furniture, surroundings and a great menu with a huge variety of fresh meals to choose from. This is THE place to have lunch when visitng Teotihuacan. Another example of why Mexican cuisine is unrivalled in the world and is labelled as intangible.

If you go to Teotihuacan's pyramids, just pass over this place, it has perfect service and incredible food, not really sure if it is as authentic as any food truck on the city but is pretty good.
