Campestre Aleman is also a trout farm so that's what I always order. Filleted and covered with garlic. PERFECT. However, my brother lived in Germany for many years and says their German dishes are as good as anywhere there. Their sausage and sauerkraut is delicious. Beautiful setting!

If you want to go to a restaurant wich serves German food: Don't go there! The restaurant itsef is hard to find. We went by car to several directions outside of Pascauro up to km 14 (this is the only information we found on TripAdvisor!). You have to drive from Patzcuaro around the lake passing Huecorio, San Pedro, Tócuaro, Arocutin,... More

The restaurant is 15 minutes driving from Patzcuaro, Mich, Mexico. The food is excellent, you may have fish (trout) or steaks. It has some german food, too. Besides the good food, the restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, with a small pond and trees, perfect for walking after eating and sitting to relax. It is not expensive, around 12-16 dollars for... Once again, we were driving from Guadalajara to Patzcuaro and stopped for comida about 2pm. We were the only guests and our order arrived promptly and was exactly as we expected. Trout cooked in butter and pork shank perfectly prepared. The grounds continue to be well kept and they had made some improvements in the eating areas. A great and... More

6 of us stopped there based on Trip Advisor reviews. While the setting was very pretty and the waitstaff doing the best they could, the general consensus was that the food was just ok and it took over an hour to get our food. If they had been busy we would have understood, but this was at 2:00 in the... More

El campestre aleman is a restaurant at Erongaricuaro. The sight of the place is breathtaking, and the environment around it is charming, so just being there is worth the small travel (15 – 20 min from Patzcuaro). The menu is also very good.

I love this place. It is beautiful, the service is always excellent, the beer cold, the food yummy, and where else can you get something different in the Pátzcuaro area. I love the salchicha bavariana.

On our drive from Guadalajara to Patzcuaro, we made a point of driving down the west side of Lake Patzcuaro in search of this restaurant. This is a surprising and wonderful setting. We had the trout prepared in butter and a saurbraten pork hock and both were excellent.

We sat down facing the pond where ppl feed the fish and goose. We ordered trouts a la macademian nuts and garlic mushroom. The side dished included potatoes, rice and a carrot salad. The salad had little pieces of nuts and raisins. We also ordered the cream of trout that was good, for dessert "ATE" which is a hard guava... More
