Beautiful place!

We stopped in for a breakfast after a "workout" on the malecon. It was a bit embarrassing to be sweating in casual clothes for such a nice place but we were a bit earlier than the other customers. In any event, the food was wonderfully and artfully prepared. I loved my fresh squeezed orange... read more

My wife and I have eaten many times at La Una. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The food and service are always excellent. The outdoor patio is serene with a nice breeze. Indoors is also very pleasant. While La Una has a varied menu their dishes from the Yucatan are the highlight, at least for me they are. Today I had... More

La Una is in it's new location. The service and the food has gone down hill some since it opened. Lunch took too long to be served and there were only 3 tables. Wait staff poured our wine at the table from a plastic cup that had been filled from the bottle at the bar. We ordered several of the... More

We are fortunate to live just around the corner from La Una and it has become our go-to place for dining-out breakfast. The brunch today was copious and mostly delicious. I sampled every one of the dozen or so dishes in the warming trays. With the exception of the rubbery fried potatoes and overdone chicken, they were all very good,... More

It was overall nice, but we all felt that the tapas were hugely overpriced. The service was good. I hope that since my last visit things improved and the menu has better selection. There is a great competition out there.

At the end of March I visited La Una, it was my cousins favorite restaurant in Ajijic. My cousin was ill but was with us and enjoyed her meal as much as we did. This was my second visit. My cousin was in a wheelchair and the staff and owner were wonderful. My cousin died today and I can truthfully... More

Fresh off the plane, settled in our room and hungry... This was a lucky find with an extensive menu and friendly staff! We had a special diet need to be gluten free and they were able to accommodate with no problem. The meal was perfectly prepared and quite beautifully presented. The steak was cooked to perfection, the tomato sauce was... More

We have had 4 wonderful experiences at La Una! The wait staff has been very kind and attentive and the owners are delightful. We have tried several establishments during our stay and keep returning to La Una. The chef is from Yucatan and his food is wonderful. We love the slower pace in Mexico and love the fact that we...
