Their baseball fillet is unbelievable. Bruno's has been around a long time and has managed to keep the quality up and the price reasonable. A very small restaurant - gets busy on the weekend but you can make reservations.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but Bruno's has been a fixture in Ajijic since the 1990's, when it was started by Bruno. It is now run by his grandson Kelton and his mother Vicki (a very experienced restauranteur). Here's what you won't find: over priced food, an extensive wine list, a fully stocked bar and "to die for"ambiance... More

Surprisingly good (and inexpensive!) steaks with baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and salad.... like an American meal in the middle of Mexico! On Tuesdays, they have prime rib, but you have to order ahead. Worth the trip if you are yearning for home cooking. (But strange decor, I have to say...)

When I get hungry for a " I don't want to be disappointed" cut of beef, and a "I want this to taste like a russet" baked potato.....Bruno's is the place I go. It's funky, it's comfortable, and Vicki makes you feel at home.

I love Bruno's....Go there at least once a week. Have never had a bad meal at Bruno's. I love the Grilled Sirlion....the Califlower and corn are fabulous. And the dressing on the salad is the best any where!!!! I have been eating here for many many years

Excellent ribs, outstanding baked potato....best in Lakeside. Have been on prime rib night with friends, who were all disappointed in the prime rib and said it was tough and favorless. This is a second hand opinion as I don't eat prime rib. Service is good and pleasant.

Lunch or dinner, always always delicious! Bruno has passed away this winter, but daughter Vicki and her son continue on. The filet mignon, a softball size, though they call it "Baseball"--is grilled to absolute perfection. The flavor is of the beef we used to know in the last century. and we often take leftovers home"Para Llevar" and then I slice... More

I have been dining at Bruno's over the last 14 years. Ribs are one of my favorite foods. Bruno's are outstanding. Occaisionally I will have one of the baseball steaks for which this restaurant is known and I have enjoyed every one. The baked potato served with all dinners is probably the best in Mexico. The restaurant is small so... More

We've been eating at Bruno's for years. It is by far the local standard for steak. The seafood and other items are also great, but those steaks.... Good baked potatoes are hard to find here, and boy do they have them! The place is funky cool, so if you're looking for five star ambiance, no, but if you're looking for... More
