#1-Vino Blanco, a legendary burro, was chilling out in the grassy area by the pool of the restaurant. Visitors can feed VB dog biscuits and take pictures. #2-The restaurant is filled with fabulous art pieces by Emily Allen, Kim Tolleson, and Yves' late father, most of which are for sale. #3-Fabulous food and service. #4-Everybody gets a special little drink... First of all, the setting is lovely. trees draped with lights, a pool, and lovely grounds. Service was good. The menu is quite varied and most items include the salad bar which has a nice variety of items. When the entrees came, my chicken with brandy mushroom and my husband's tongue with red wine/brandy/mushroom sauce were both drowning in sauce... More

Ok, so show my wife a donkey and she’s in love! What a marketing hook…also a neat place. We’ve seen Yves on the malecon walking the various dog menagerie and wanted to swing in to the new place out on the western side of town on the Carratera. Lovely gardens, very attentive service staff but the food was OK. Next... More

This was my first foray into the Chapala dining scene and I enjoyed being able to sit in the lovely courtyard. The service was attentive and the food decent, but nothing to write home about.

Having recently settled in Ajijic, we're just getting familiar with the many really fine restaurants close by. Yves has quickly become a favorite with its wonderful food, relaxing outdoor seating and great service. When you visit, don't be surprised when Yves stops by your table and personally makes sure you are delighted. Oh, and the Sea Bass... Soooo, soooo tasty!... More

We would have eaten here several times if we could have found it! Yves needs to update his website because he has relocated from lakeside to a house on the west side carretera. Outdoor seating is next to a pool and they place candelarias all around the garden at dusk; it's a lovely setting. There's a great salad bar, the... More

Oh how I love Yves restaurant - and Yves himself! This is a restaurant where you can feel comfortable and relaxed while you eat your meal. I loved it when it was on the beach, and I love it now that it has moved up to west Ajijic even though the service is a little slower while they work the... More

Sadly I don't have anything nice to say about our experience here. There were no high chairs, it took over 40 minutes to get my food and they really weren't busy. The fountain and lights in the outside garden is my only positive feedback. Won't be returning next time around.

I ate here with my friend and my Mom in January. The food was delicious. We ate outside at a table in the sun. Vino Blanco is being very well cared for at Yves.

Yves Restaurant has moved to a lovely poolside property on the south-side of the Carretera west of Ajijic. We chose lunch after Open Circle. Others had the same plan and Yves was slammed. The bubolic setting was peaceful, quiet and comforting. Unfortunately the full house resulted in slow but couteous professional service. I chose Shrimp Quesadillas and my wife Cheese... More
