It was a lunch time outing. We were very impressed with the food and service, especially with the very reasonable prices. We were also impressed with the ambiance. Even lunch time featured linen tablecloths and napkins. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sadly I cannot review an assortment of items from the menu as we all chose the filet of... More

While staying in Sutton, I spent 2 evenings at the restaurant À la Fontaine. I was very pleased with my meals and enjoyed excellent friendly service.

Very good food and service, no bad pricing either... would definitely return next time we visit the Eastern Townships.

We ate on the porch on a beautiful August evening and the atmosphere was delightful; the porch hung with tons of beautiful colorful flowers and plants. The service was excellent and the food was superb, in my opinion! I was with three other people and we all thought our appetizers and dinners were delicious. Our server was very helpful with... More

We ate on the terrace on a lovely night. A very casual atmosphere, with friendly staff who speak both French and English well. The fixed price menu was extensive, delicious and not expensive. It illustrates that in a small town one can get a very good French meal...but that's true of most French towns!

A visit during the winter and a recent supper confirmed that while this restaurant fits a niche in Sutton, if a few things were tweaked it would be even better. The table d'hôtel offers an entrée, soup or salad and main course. Everything is fine, but more attention could be devoted to the vegetables which seem to stay a bit... More

We had a great lunch for $10 which included a big salad, a main dish and coffee. Two of us had pork meatballs in a peach sauce with carrots and green beans., and our other friend had grilled chicken pieces on a bed of couscous with veggies. We shared a delicious strawberry shortcake. The atmosphere was very nice on an... More

My wife and I traveled across the border from Vermont for a nice birthday meal, and we were not disappointed. While it was a relatively quiet Thursday night, the waiter and chef both put maximum effort into making sure the service and food were exceptional. My wife had the beff stroganoff, which was inventive and not at all what would... More

This very old building has lots of character, loads of plants and souvenirs from many years. The menu is grand and the prices are reasonable. We were 3 and 2 had the prix-fixe the third just had the steak aux poivres. He is not a very adventurous eater. My daughter had the escargots gratinée followed by the duck a l'orange. I... More
