A visit during the winter and a recent supper confirmed that while this restaurant fits a niche in Sutton, if a few things were tweaked it would be even better. The table d'hôtel offers an entrée, soup or salad and main course. Everything is fine, but more attention could be devoted to the vegetables which seem to stay a bit... More

We had a great lunch for $10 which included a big salad, a main dish and coffee. Two of us had pork meatballs in a peach sauce with carrots and green beans., and our other friend had grilled chicken pieces on a bed of couscous with veggies. We shared a delicious strawberry shortcake. The atmosphere was very nice on an... More

The best food I have eaten in a long time. Good menu. Prices are reasonable. Wonderful staff. Quaint and has large outdoor deck to enjoy. You will not be disappointed!

My wife and I traveled across the border from Vermont for a nice birthday meal, and we were not disappointed. While it was a relatively quiet Thursday night, the waiter and chef both put maximum effort into making sure the service and food were exceptional. My wife had the beff stroganoff, which was inventive and not at all what would... More

This very old building has lots of character, loads of plants and souvenirs from many years. The menu is grand and the prices are reasonable. We were 3 and 2 had the prix-fixe the third just had the steak aux poivres. He is not a very adventurous eater. My daughter had the escargots gratinée followed by the duck a l'orange. I... More

Went with a friend and we both ordered from their pre-fixe du jour which is handwritten on giant blackboards and white boards they leave leaning on tables. Both my friend's French and mine are not fluent, but we muddled through best we could. From what we could tell there was one server for the entire restaurant on a Friday night,... More

We were seated by the window in the bar section of the restaurant. The décor was very comforting but the chairs forced us into a very upright posture. We both had their prix-fixe de jour. She had the Rillettes De Saumon (fresh salmon salad) and Rognons Lapin in Madeira sauce (rabbit kidneys). I had baby shrimp cocktail and veal sweet... More

The food was good but everything else was very poorly done. The waitress left us sitting for 10 minutes, then tried to take our order without ever giving us a menu. After apologizing profusely, she returned empty handed explaining that all menus were being used. Later, while eating, our wineglasses sat empty for 10 to 15 minutes during which time... More
