Charming location, excellent food

We stayed overnight at the Hotel and had dinner and breakfast here. Both were excellent. For dinner we both had the magret du canard, and shared two entrées, the escargots and a beet salad. Everything was well-prepared, the ingredients were high-quality, the portions were ample. The room is... read more

Bravo Bertin and Michel for your efforts over the years to make Le Pleasant THE place in Sutton and around. Under Chef Dany Savage the dinning room has now found its true vocation. Impeccable service, unique atmosphere mixing old and new style of interior decoration, imaginative menu perfectly delivered. Keep the good work.

Everyone was friendly and eager to please; gorgeous hotel with spotless beautiful rooms. It's a small hotel and I like that. Centrally located in the center of Sutton. Dining there was wonderful. If you like the big hotel feel this is not for you. However if you like individual attention given in a small hotel, you'll love this place!

We stayed at the hotel two weekends a month apart for ski getaways. We arrived late on Friday both nights but the restaurant was still open so we had two fine à la carte meals those nights - ravioli, scallops (no sand!), steak and duck, all impeccably prepared and full of excellent flavours. All four days we had the Eggs... More

I have been skiing in Sutton since 1968 when the town had not much more than an IGA and a Post Office. I recently had a meal at Le Pleasant and can say that it was one of the best meals I have ever had in Sutton.....the quality was as good as any fine restaurant in NYC. I had duck... More

Went to enjoy a dinner here on a sunday night. We arrived at 6:30pm and there was only one couple sitting. They informed us that they were full and proceeded to be very unaccommodating. For such a lovely small town, this place seemed to be the sore spot. Menu looked great otherwise.

We are sorry that you could not get a table in our restaurant on Sunday night. Our dining room offers sitting for 26 people only, and all our tables were reserved for a 7pm or 7h30pm sitting. Although we would have wanted to accomodate you, we had to keep our tables available to honor the reservations we had. Since it... More

At recommendation of our B&B, we ordered the Découverte menu. It was a remarkable experience. Even the onion soup was a lovely surprise. And the champignon tartine was Exquisite. It cost $40, but in the category of you get what you pay for, it was worth every penny. Check if they have the same chef as this date, and you... More

See my review of "You won't believe it". We had some of the most interesting tapas we've ever eaten. The wine list was just terrific, not huge, but very well selected. They have multiple beers on tap as well. The staff and owners are super attentive to make sure you have a nice experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our Discovery menu offers a number of small plates, all providing a combitation of selected textures and flavours, incorporating local products from the Townships. We are happy that you enjoyed it. Our menu also offer very creatives dishes as a "Table d'hote" formula and we hope to see you again... More

There are some great places to eat in Sutton and as a consequence we just hadnt got around to Le Pleasant so really pleased to have made it there at last. On the advice of a friend we had the menu decouvert - 6 small courses of which you get to pick 2. Beautiful presentation, great flavours and really interesting... More
