What was once upon a time a culinary delight has now become a glorified , supposedly high-class establishment serving mediocre food. I've had better service in fast-food joints, altho I do not wish to include our waitress on the upstairs terrace - she was attentive and pleasant, even to the point of helping us to move to the interior dining... My husband and I recently took our son for a celebratory meal at this restaurant which came highly recommended. It has been a long time since I have had such a terrible restaurant experience. We arrived shortly before 7 pm to an empty hostess station and waited 10 minutes before anyone appeared to attend to us. I have never experienced... More

restaurant le Samuel We went two times during lunch time. Best deal around: Three service meal with Soup, entree and main meal for about $25 tax & tip included. Wine offering by the glass is excellent at about $10 per glass. Quality glassware!(*****) Wonderful setting, very comfortable, beautiful view overlooking the Richelieu River, between two bridges closeby, with ducks swimming... More

We had an amazing dinner at Restaurant Le Samuel. It was the perfect place for a celebration. Everything was spot on! Our drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts were wonderful. We had the perfect night on the patio and the view was spectacular. It started to rain a little and the servers happily covered our tables with large umbrellas. If you... More

Beautiful place, well located, but too expensive for the quality/quantity of food. Luckily we had a Groupon.

Nice decor but horrible food! The bavette was overly sweet and the rest of the meal was overly salted, including the chocolate dessert. We were a party of 4 and none of our comments were taken seriously. We decided to give this restaurant a last chance since our previous experience was not good either... Don't waste your money! The best... More

It is worth a long drive to eat here. Le Samuel has a scenic view of the river and canal, and large windows so you can enjoy the view. The service couldn't be any better. I had a green salad (the small is really large) and a beef filet of surpassing tenderness and flavor. Expensive but worth it.
