Good hamburger -great poutine

This is a charming little roadside food joint. It is like going back in time. It is all greasy food but done very well. Not pretentious, just good food. You order and when your food is ready they call you over a PA. No indoor service, just outside.

From the reviews, I thought this would be a great casse-croûte in the proud tradition of these Quebec snack bars. Frankly, I thought it was mediocre, and the rest of my family was less charitable. There was nothing special about the poutine or the hamburgers. Honestly, you'd be better off at the McDonalds in town for half the price. BTW,... More

Best hamburgers in the world. Period. A marvellous little casse-croute with a gorgeous view of the river. A real find.

This place has been here for years, situated near the dock in Point au Pic next to La Malbaie. It is a quaint "cases-croute" which is homemade fast food and ice cream. Not too expensive and worth the turn down the hill to view the St. Lawrence and maybe see some whales off the shore.

If you do not mind the casual location, look forward to the most delicious breakfast at the best price. The service was fine.

Went all over town to find Chez Chantal. Wanted to go there cause it was near the railway tracks and looked cute on the internet. Pink building with two old Pepsi signs. Great poutine!

Like the other reviewer, we were staying at Le Manoir Richelieu. I found this little sback bar about 10 years ago and was thrilled to see it's still there! For about $15 all in, two of us had great breakfast two mornings in a row. A "greasy spoon" without the grease. Many little table outside make it an awesome place... More

Chez Ginette is a snack bar. An excellent snack bar. We were staying at the magnificient Fairmont le Manoir Richelieu, which is a short walk down the hill to the Point-au-Pic wharf where Chez Ginette is located. Lunch: cheese burger w/fries plus a very substantial chicken salad. Cost: about $12.00 Breakfast: one of the best breakfasts of our vacation. Free... More
