Had dinner at the restaurant and chose the 4 course day menu. Courses were good except the main course. It was fried lobster, which was tough and had the lack of taste of frozen lobster. The service was excellent, but the main course was very disappointing for such an expensive restaurant.

I'm from Quebec and have eaten at some of the best restaurants in Canada. When a restaurant advertises a 4 to 5 star rating, you expect something more... Unfortunately, our experience was something less... I was with two collegues and the opinion was unanimous: below average. The scallops were too cooked, the shrimps were rubberry, the rack of lamb sauce... More

The restaurant benefits from beautiful viwn and has a very friendly staff. It delivers decent, if pretentious, food. but the pricing is absolutely outrageous.

The ambience, The food, the service and the wine were outstanding. We had the 4 course Taster's menu. Every course came with a superb accompanying wine selection. The food was cooked to perfection. The wine was excellent. Mr bernard, the head waiter, provided amazing information on the food, wine, the hotel and the area. Amazing Service, Amazing food. It was... More

The Maitresse d' was very welcoming, the wait staff were as well. The selection of breads on offer were excellent. That's it. The orchid on the table could have used fresher water.....My daughter's pasta was all dried out from sitting under a heat lamp, the red wine was cold - I refused it before it was opened (I could see... Like a fine Swiss watch the "Charlevoix" at Manior Richlieu continues to amaze me on every visit to this unique part of Quebec. Located in a Fairmount Hotel, on the St. Lawrence and a six hour drive for me. To begin with the Charlevoix will try and use ingredients of the Charlevoix region from foie gras to cheese. I can... This was our most expensive meal while in La Malbaie but worth it for the view, proximity to our hotel room (upstairs) and the food was fabulous! Every dish was surprisingly tasty, especially the chocolate sphere (best desert ever) and the cheese course. My shrimp starter was devine. It was also nice to have the while table cloth treatment. And... More

My husband and i spent the wee-end at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu a couple of times. This time it was different. We had dinner at the fancy Charlevoix restaurant. Was wondering why it wasn't full because the hotel was full. Here are the reasons why: 1. The service was so poor we were treated as they were doing us a... More
