OMG !

What an evening! Meal, service, cleanliness all were tops. Shrimps and salmon were excellent! Each vegetable (6 diff ones) had its own spin and was just as good. This was the best meal that we had in our two week holiday in Canada! The restaurant was closed Monday/Tuesday (I guess it was out of the main season) but we had a table on our last evening in La Malbaie, and it was very special. The food was fantastic and the owner was very helpful and friendly. There is... More

We were staying at the Fairmont where due to it being slow the 4 diamond restaurant was closed ... the hotel suggested that this was the next best place to eat in the area. We went and were able to get a table without a reservation ... it is a very small establishment with only 9 tables and only does... More

My wife and I went there in september based on reco in Trip Advisor. Well it was just great! The food was obviously made from quality fresh ingrédients and the portions were generous to say the least which is unfortunately becoming a rare sight in fine dining restaurants. All the food, sauces etc are all prepared with TLC by the... More

My wife always researches places before we travel and she found this little place to further "check out" when we get there. We stayed at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu but like to usually eat dinner outside the hotels. We drove to the restaurant in the afternoon and had the good fortune to run in to the owner and chef... More

Le Patriarche is a wonderful dining experience....requiring a couple of fun decisions. The first decision you MUST make is when you want to experience the fine dining experience....with only 8 tables and all meals exquisitly prepared by the chef owner Micheal and served with flair and enthusiasm by Simon..Reservations are essential or you will be disappointed at the door...I had... The restaurant is in a house dating back to 1900 which has a lovely atmosphere. The staff and service were great. Never felt rushed. The food was wonderful. We wished we had tried it sooner. Make your reservations when or before you arrive in the area.

Tucked in a row of period cottages this small, intimate restaurant exuded charm and character. The food and service were excellent. A varied menu and decent wine list. The sort of place you plan to come back to and hope it's as good the second time.

The evening was excellent on all categories.....service, flavour, presentation and ambiance. Reservations are necessary as it is a small intimate place. The restaurant is in the chef's home. I started with the baked Brie. It exceeded my expectations. The portion was large enough that the other 3 guests had a taste and all agreed it was fabulous. My main course... More

We made our reservation months ago knowing that we wanted to be sure to try this highly rated restaurant. Glad we did as it was sold out for the evening and we saw many walk-ins being turned away at the door. The location is very special - a small house along the water with no more than 8 or 9... More
