We have been coming to La Malbaie for quite a number of years. We are "Foodies" and do not think twice in paying the price for gastronomical meal experience. When it tastes Heavenly the cost is totally irrelevant. We reserved a table for six. The apetisers were good , although my ceviche was very bland and tasteless. My husband had... More

The food was very good and tasty. The waiter was very nice and helpful. Since it was a sunday we had the place all for ourselves but in the busy summer months, friday and saturday are always full, so you need to make a reservation first. We had a table with a view of the river which was appreciated. I... More

As this was/is the top rated restaurant in La Malbaie, I saved it for the last night. Perhaps my hopes were too high, but only one dish lived up to the restaurant’s reputation. I received a very warm welcome, the waiter was kind, service very available and there were so many wonderfully described menu items, it was really hard to... More

Yes, the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. Yes, the service was great. But the bottom line is the quality of the food, and I am afraid this is where they failed the grade. We started with shrimp with maple syrup. Ok but nothing special. The blue crab coquille was, well, I have had better in cafeterias. The vegetables were over... More

One of the best dinners we have ever had. Excellent food matched by the friendliest service. We wished we had this place where we lived.

Loved food and service. Must save room for dessert. Nice to eat fish and seafood that was not heavy. Have pouding au chomeur and chocolat fondant. Wonderful service from Simon. Makes the whole experience enjoyable

After discovering this palce last year, we couldn't wait to return, and not only did we return, we ate here twice during our week here. Simon is an excellent waiter and speaks very good English, which makes ordering a pleasure. His knowledge of the menu and his willingness to make suggestions was outstanding. Both meals were tremendous and all the... More

During dinner our first night at the Fairmont Manoir Richelieu, I asked our waiter (who was very passionate and knowledgeable about food and wine) where we should go for dinner and he very quickly said Le Patriarche! Fortunately, the comcierge was able to get us a reservation at this tiny little restaurant on right on the banks of the St... More

This is a tiny, but amazing restaurant: lovely, intimate, well decorated, with an appropriatly chosen, unintrusive musical background. The food is to die for. The brie fondant was simply amazing! My pastas were very good. My husband really enjoyed his couscous. All dishes featured local ingredients and were perfectly balanced. Expect generous portions. The service was friendly and attentive.
