A pleasurable dining experience

Stayed at the Ripplecove for 2 nights in March with my wife. On the first night we had the 7 course Discovery Menu with wine pairings. The menu was:> Ceviche of halibut, marinated in lime, Espelette pepper> Bay of Fundy scallop and smoked Peking duck, tomato & mango salsa> Cromesquis... read more

I am a seasonal resident of the Eastern Townships of Quebec who spends the rest of the year in a major urban center in the U.S. For decades two of my favorite hotels in the area to unwind with a nice meal and drinks have been Hovey manor and Auberge Ripplecove, both on lake Massawippi. These have been amazing places... More

Every dish served was excellent in every way. The wine list was interesting. The service was professional. The dining room is charming. I would recommend it to anyone. We were not hurried and spent the entire evening.

We were very impressed by the auberge itself and then when we tasted the food in the restaurant we were more than impressed...it was truly outstanding. We had a forfait that included the supper and breakfast and even though it isn't cheap we felt that we got our money's worth. We sent my husbands brother and wife there as a... More

Staff was very friendly, room was comfortable and well decorated, food was above average but the atmosphere was not one of a cozy calm expensive Inn on a lake. Stayed at the Inn for 1 night with supper and breakfast included. Service was good and food, like mentioned, above average. But the atmosphere was not what I'd expect from this... More

We got there on June 12 on a raining day. Julia at the reception was very lovely and pleasant. She gave us a beautiful room. To our surprise, a happy anniversary note was in our room. They remembered from last year? Breakfast was delightful and classic. In the afternoon, we had tea and read under the balcony of the out... More

We were keen and hopeful for a wonderful evening at this beautiful hotel on the lake. This is a very expensive restaurant in the country, with starters about $15.00 and main dishes about $37.00. (We left the teenagers at home). The portions were the smallest we have seen in a long time. The menu is very limited in terms of... More

Beautiful place, serene, peaceful, but overrated for the price. New Years 2013, we booked 2 nights. $$$$$ . Expecting exceptional food but it was disappointing except for the first night Dec 31st: We ate fresh deer and a squash soup that were amazing. from there it was downhill. husband was always hungry - not enough food-- The NY's eve party... More American in style and food choices, it is none the less a great experience. The food is delicious, the staff gracious, the accommodation comfortable.
