Some neighbors in our present RV Park (KOA Cornwall, PEI) tipped us to this outstanding restaurant. So, for our last meal out in PEI, we went to the Dunes. Eclectic pottery, wood carvings and jewelry at the gift shop, and the restaurant was five star. Wife and I both had a bowl of the chef's "award winning" fish chowder, and... More

We had a lovely lunch here overlooking a beautiful garden and artists works. The lobster quiche was plentiful and delicious. Overall , a little pricey... $3.50 for coffee.

This rating is for the restaurant only. We had lunch there a couple of weeks ago while spending the day at Brackley Beach. We were a little disappointed that we could not sit in the garden for lunch, but they said they were having problems with wasps. Then again, I'm glad they were honest and didn't try to make something... More

My wife and I had a late lunch at the Dunes Cafe and really enjoyed it. We were in a bit of a rush, so shared 3 dishes that came out together: -Seafood chowder: really nice and good texture, right amount of saltiness. Lots of different seafood and scallops were large (not the small kind)! Only thing that would've been... More

Great ambience and food , have the seafood chowder , shop with a glass of wine while you wait for food , really worth the trip , prices reasonable , sit upstairs for the view of the dunes off in distance

The Dunes is one of my favourite stops in PEI . The building is a wonder in itself, the grounds are spectacular , the pottery is beautiful and tastefully displayed, however I was quite disappointed in our meal and the service in the Cafe this year. It seemed like they were under staffed and the menu has undergone changes too,... More

My husband and I tented in Prince Edward Island National Park August, 2014. We went looking for a dinner destination. We first went to Richard's which is a fish and chip place in the park, but the queue was actually 25 deep just to get in. The owner told us to try the Lobster Claw down the road, which we... More

The place is fabulous, there is a shop with wonderful art, glass, jewelry, paintings, clothing store and the most beautiful patio I have ever seen. The food was very good, however, not as memorable as the place itself. Highly recommend!

So much to see - hard to take it all in. Wonderful gardens, too. The food was fantastic - crab cakes were yummy, and the nasi goreng was the best I have had outside of Bali. Make sure you include a visit here as part of your PEI vacation - you will not be disappointed!
