Lovely setting, lovely presentation

The garden setting of this restaurant and lovely decor creates such a calming atmosphere. I loved the pretty accent touches on the dishes themselves. They were as pleasing to look at as they were to eat. The carrot ginger soup was delicious, as was the seafood quiche. If you are a shopper... read more

To be surrounded by amazing pieces of beautiful work and fantastic art, followed by a magnificent landscape and luscious garden visit?! I mean, cmon! This place is nothing but breathtaking. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to partake in the establishments dining area but the menu looks superb and prices are reasonable. But simply cannot say enough good about The Dunes... More

Had lunch and dinner at this great restaurant. The menu was varied and had lots of local and in-season produce. The food was well presented and very tasty. The gallery and homeware store are also of high quality with lots of PEI artists. Best restaurant I experienced in PEI.

We stopped for lunch but also appreciated the art, pottery and the gardens. The meals were reasonably priced and offered a decent amount of very well prepared dishes. Attractively plated and fragrant, they really know how to present the type of food they have chosen to prepare. A nice time was had by all.

One of the better lunch places around. Worth a stop. Upmarket, and a reasonably good menu for all tastes. Service excellent, friendly, attentive. The ambience may not be for all. However, if you like Indonesian art ? Looks as if they outfitted the place with a job lot from Bali. Not sure it works...but...the food, your main reason for stopping... More

The food at the gallery is excellent, even if it's just a tea or coffee before you browse the gallery. The gallery itself has amazing art, hand crafted items and just neat little trinkets you wouldn't really find anywhere else. The Dunes definitely has an island feel to it. While you're there, take the time to go upstairs and see... More

Excellent place to stop by. Great food, beautiful crockery and pottery you can buy. I wasn't too keen on the art but that is very much a personal choice. The staff was very friendly, the food extremely fresh and very tasty. I often find that a salad is an afterthought for many chefs. Well not here, all ingredients were fresh... More

We came across The Dunes on a drive from PEI National Park and it was the perfect respite. We had some lunch while looking out over the incredible landscape with colorful gardens, peaceful fountains, and eclectic art. The pieces sold at The Dunes are handmade, some local, some far away, but it was refreshing to find a place where there... More

Do you have money to burn? Then this is the restaurant for you. My appetizer consisted of two miniature crab cakes smaller than a quarter for approximately $13. My entree(curried salmon) at $29 was delicious, but way overpriced, in my opinion. The salmon was one of the less expensive entrees. My friends each ordered cocktails which seemed to be missing...
