Absolutely wonderful. I could only finish half of what I ordered. Terrific flavors and textures. A real treat for a vegetarian. The services was terrific. I had a seat by the window and never felt rushed to make room for the next tourist.

Food sensibly priced , well presented and plentiful. The gardens were a picture and one could spend all day looking at the vast array of quality items in the shop
What's not to like to about the Dunes - just down the road from the National Park (Brackley Beach) and a very large gallery of local artists and amazing things brought back from the owner when he spends the winter in SE Asia. It's not often that a gallery is famous for it's food but the restaurant down the spiral...

The Dunes wasn't our destination, but it sure caught our eye when we passed by. So we turned around and spent a marvelous hour walking around the shop/gallery. We wondered how this place can stay in business what with this vast, beautiful, eclectic collection of art and craft. The selection of paintings, sculpture, carvings, apparel, jewelery and more and more...

The shop has hidden treasures and well trained employees. they have furniture, clothing (bought a dress and ear-rings) art work, pottery indoor and outdoor furniture. It could take hours to look at everything.
The Dunes is like no other place on PEI. The food is always fresh and tasty; the service good and, if you pick a sunny day, you can sit outside overlooking the beautiful gardens. But the restaurant is only the beginning. Maybe you will want to spend time in the gallery where local artists display their paintings. Or, you can...

The "Dunes" is an unbelievable experience --the gallery ,the gift shop , the style, the treasures from PEI and around the world, and an amazing cafe with A-1 food (that requires reservations as it is so busy) + the owner's studio and his work are there . A must for anyone visiting PEI ! D.K. Charlottetown,PEI
Lots and lots of interesting things to look at....inside and out...great art ..loved it...could have bought a lot more....and there is even clothing!!
The Dunes has the best pizza on the island (thin crust and exotic combinations that taste great!) Have tea on the back patios and wander around the fountains while admiring the beautiful tables.
It's hard to find enough words to describe The Dunes. When it opened in the 80's, I didn't think it would survive. But the owner Peter Jansen has created an unique oasis of gardens, art gallery and bistro on the North Shore of Prince Edward Island. There is always something new to see or taste...definitely worth a visit.
