Comparison to Benihana is very accurate. Same tricks with hot oil, chopping vegetables and tossing eggs. It is quite funny and entertaining if you are with a large group (since the tables are very big and you need a large party to reserve one), however that's exactly the problem: the place is noisy and the table is too large to... Our party of six requested 2 dozen oysters, then spring rolls, with the steak and seafood entree. BANG...before we could enjoy the fresh oysters, the spring rolls arrived. Before we even started eating them, BANG the Chef started his routine on the entree. Despite my requesting the staff to slow down the rapid fire serving, it just continued. Even the... More

Food here is usually very good. The meat is always done the way you like it. The black cod that I had was excellent but my husband orderd the Lobster dinner and was disappointed s the lobster was dry. I dont think he would order this meal again. Also it was suppose to be 2.5 lbs and I dont think... More

The food was terrible and so was our experience. Not worth the money. You pay a lot for very little. We all left hungry. I would never go back.

An unexpected find on a busy day out. We dropped by for a sushi lunch and ended up with the benihana style of cooking. The chef performed for the whole family, setting fire to the hot oil, getting the kids to wear the chefs hat and pose for pictures like a ninja. The food was a step above food court... More

We were in this restaurant few times, never on weekend thou. I have a filling that I get a very fresh food, as it is made in front of you. Great for business dinners or impress friends who never experience this kind of food preparation (very entertaining). I would recommend this restaurant.

We celebrated a birthday at Yang's, which was pricey ($160 for 4 people without alcohol) for a teppanyaki meal that was somewhat entertaining. The "volcano" and egg-toss were fun. Their chefs were old enough to be experienced, but they weren't as engaging as I would have expected, possibly because of a language barrier. However, my dietary requests were respected, and... More

I have eaten, with a group, at Yang's 4 times now. The last time I went, I noticed things are not being kept up as much as they should be. The food was still pretty good but not as good as I recall (maybe my tastes have changed). The drink service was slow but the Teppanyaki chef was quick. We... More

I've been to Yang's many times. It's great for takeout, delivery at parties! I actually hosted my mother's surprise birthday party here! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The sushi has always been fresh and tastes exquisite. The Teppanyaki is costly, but very entertaining and delicious too! The atmosphere is a little posh so dress nice!

My family was staying in Vaughan and had planned to get Japanese cuisine/sushi for dinner. I suggested we tried a Teppanyaki restaurant so we could watch the chef cook our food infront of us. When we arrived we were not seated at one of the chefs table so unfortunately we did not get a show with our dinner. We ordered... More
