This is a nice cafe in the charming downtown of Port Hope; I was here on a cold grey day in November and found the coffee and succor. I was searching for wifi and did not find it; not all bad, it encouraged me to read my book and would have encouraged conversation with a friend. This is a gem... More

If you are ever in Port Hope, stop by Dreamers Cafe and try Roger's Crazy Cookies. These famous cookies just melt in your mouth and have a wonderful taste. The decor is very nice and there are lots of gift ideas in the sitting area. Usually the soup of the day is Lobster Bisque and the staff are extremely friendly.

Unless you're a fan of the crazy cookie from here, it's a pretty average place with inconsistent service. There are much better options in downtown Port Hope.

Popped In here for coffee and one of the world famous cookies. A breakdown in communication meant we did not try the cookies but instead were served the most delicious soup in the world followed by the most seriously decadent cake in the world. The Christmas decorations were brilliant and I got lots of ideas for a future Christmas at... More

Port Hope is a charming town and the old centre is mercifully distant form the rampaging mall culture that afflicts much of southern Ontario. If you fancy a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit, drop in to the Dreamers Café and spend a pleasant time over a steaming brew in the eclectic décor. be sure to try the... More

Good food and good coffee. Homemade pastries, like the famous crazy cookie, date squares, muffins, fancy cakes pies.

So much potential for this amazing old building and awesome corner location in downtown Port Hope. Service is slow and inconsistent. Service counter logistically doesn't work to service customers; it is shoved at the back with access from a narrow aisle. Decor is beautiful and whimsical...and the coffee is good. Need the staff to smile and be engaged with the... More

This quaint cafe has lots of atmosphere. Friendly staff, lots of locals eating leisurely here (young and old). Lobster bisque was very good and price was OK.

We stopped in for lunch my husband had the lobster bisque and really enjoyed it. I had the lobster rolls and they were very good. Service is slow and not very friendly, decor is dirty and dated. Food and crazy cookies were very good. Need to clean up the decor and hire someone that can smile 😃

We stopped in Port Hope on our way to Toronto and decided to pop in here for a light lunch. We got coffees, lobster sandwiches, and the famous Crazy Cookie. We were very satisfied with everything. The lobster sandwiches were so very delicious. And the cookie was awesome. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 star is... More
