It seemed like a happening place. There aren't a lot of place in Port Colborne that would satisfy a foodie. This seemed like one of them. I was fooled by the "ristorante" moniker. The place was hopping. It was a good sign. Unfortunately the portents didn't hold. There was no linen table service. The knives and forks on a paper... More

I am spoiled, I live only a block away from this lovely Italian restaurant. So, anytime I don't feel like cooking it is there...calling me. The Veal Parmesan is my favourite, always tender and very tasty. But I also love the Calamari rings with hot peppers, and the baked brie and the wonderful salad with beets and maple dressing, yum,... This is my favourite restaurant in Port Colborne. Positives- The food and service is always excellent. The restaurant is clean. We have never had a bad experience and we eat here frequently. Negatives- I would not bro g young children here. There is no kids menu and the food is to pricey to spend on a child who won't finish... More

We stayed at a B&B down the street from here and the owner had recommended this restaurant. The food was amazing! We had ordered an appetizer with brie, which was seriously melt in your mouth delcious! And I had ordered one of the special's which was a piece of halibut over pasta. Very good also!

Ambiance was nice for this nice small sized Italian restaurant. Food was excellent and price was fair for the quality of food.Veal parm and lasagna both were excellent. Wine prices were on par, and service was excellent. Rating of 4

The chef made me a special meal based on my dietary restrictions, and she knocked it out of the park! My partner and I both LOVED our meals: fresh ingredients, big portions, and made with love. Perfect country getaway date night. I could eat here every day. I'd be fat, but happy.

We went to San Marcos 2 days ago 8 of us for dinner. The food was sooo good a little over priced for pasta with a couple shrimp & scallops $24.00 no salad included. But the worst part was the really bad service. Our older waitress seemed to be in a hurry to get our order we were the last... More

Have been to the Fonthill san marcos and the food was certainly as good and the service here was better. Our table had chicken parmesan, gnocchi, caesar salad and veal parmesan, all of which were delicious and well presented. Our server was remarkably attentive considering how busy the place was. This speaks well for the number of clientele, but unfortunately... More

I have never had a mediocre dinner at San Marcos. Between their excellent staff and superb dining I love to experience this restaurant!

We went on a Tuesday night when it was very quiet and enjoyed the Sinatra music. Service was prompt and friendly and our martinis well made. Antipasta appetizer was good and included pickled eggplant. Eggplant Parmesan was flavorful and my husband's ricotta gnocchi was light. Pasta sauce was very good. We shared a lemon ricotta cheesecake that was delicious! Portions... More
