Gone Down Hill

I grew up in Pickering and Massey's was always a favourite. They have a large menu with lots to choose from - a wide variety of choices. Food was always amazing. My in-laws took us out for dinner last week and I was excited to find out that we were going to Massey's. We hadn't been in a long... read more

Myself and 2 others went to enjoy a meal at Massey's. We have been here before and didnt have much to say about it but we where in the area and decide to go but ...not knowing what the outcome was going to bring. We ordered our meals in which one was a large garden salad. The salad came with... More

Have been to Massey's several times on several occasions (birthdays, dinner with the girls, couples, etc.) Overall, service is consistently good. Portions are generous as well as a good variety of dishes. Only complaint is that the decor is a bit dated, but that's not a huge deal. Will definitely go there again.

This place has been around since the 60's or possibly earlier so I'm told. Hadn't been in for a few years so my wife and I dropped in last Sunday for burgers. They make their own fresh patties and the first bite tells you this the reason they have been around for as long as they have. Delicious and great... More

Came here for lunch, the chipotle dip for the onion rings was not at all how it should have tasted, the liver and onions had no flavor, the waiter never refilled my water and the bathroom smelled like like a fish market and poor lightening and black sludge in the corner

Cozy, friendly, quaint. The atmosphere is a homely feeling. It like having a family Barbeque in your back yard.

This restaurant is really tired and could desperately use a face-lift. We seated ourselves and it took awhile for the server to acknowledge us. We ordered very basic things... burgers and sweet potato fries. My cheeseburger arrived with no cheese! The server recognized the omission as soon as she put the plate down and took it back to the kitchen.... More

I've lived in Pickering for 31 years and Massey's actually precedes me. Over the years the restaurant has had its ups and downs but there was a time when Massey's was the only place to eat in Pickering. The portion size was outrageously large ...the prices were so reasonable ...and most importantly ...the menu had all of the things that... More

Have been frequenting this restaurant for over 20 years. The food has always been very good and the quantity of food often exceeded my ability to consume all of it there. The meals I have had the have the home cooked presentation and flavour. There is adequate parking and during the warmer days, outside seating. The wait staff is courteous... More

Been years since this place was opened and the good was always good but it's not for those who are into healthy eating. The burgers are very large and they come with lots of fries. Service had always been adequate
