Sure Ain't Nothing Special....

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner on9-19-14. I wasn't real hungry. My husband ordered the Lasagna with salad for $16.95. Waiter asked what I wanted, I told him I was just going to take a few bites of my husbands lasagna. He then told me, he was gonna have to charge ME for the salad bar... read more

We attended for the breakfast buffet on Sunday. It was a typical offering and the price at $10.99 was fair. If you're passing by, it's better than fast food.

The Fifth Wheel Truck Diner in Bowmanville seems to be stuck in the late 80's or the early 90's. The decor is outdated, the food seemed really fatty and the I think the waitress seemed like she was really unimpressed to be there. The washrooms were clean, which is a plus. The location is decent since it is right off... More

We stopped at the Fifth Wheel for some gas and breakfast during a road trip. The facilities are not fancy but they are clean. We had the breakfast buffet, which was good and reasonably priced. The food coming out of the kitchen looked very good, so if I go back I'll likely order off the menu instead. Overall, very clean,... More

Stopped here say morning for breakfast. Not only we couldn't get table as according to staff member they had to set up one when place was more then half empty. Staff member was not too polite so we walked out and this was between 7 and 7:30 and we phoned night before and was told they were open a 5.... More

Stopped for breakfast - eggs and sausage were good. Home fries were cut potatoes cooked on grill not deep fried cubes. The bacon however was tough and very salty. Coffee is second cup and it was good as well. The place is a little run down and the lot is full of pot holes, very dusty - put windows or... More

Was disappointed in the broken eggs...one I can understand, all of them means they don't care. Place is clean, change lots since I was here 20 years ago. I would try them again but I was disappointed

Don't let the number of trucks in the parking lot make you think this is a great place to dine - they're only there because of a lack of other local truck stop options. Food Is mediocre at best, and priced out of line with reality. Fuel prices are also nothing special, so don't stop here expecting a deal on... More

We made the mistake of checking into the dirty Motel first, It stunk like cigarette smoke and we were in a non smoking room. Then we went to eat in the restaurant, That was mistake number 2. My children wanted the buffet for dinner and I got a wrap. While we were eating I overheard the employees speaking about buffet... More

This place has been around for years and serves the general public as well besides truckers. Althought the atmosphere is dated but still has the feel of a truck stop. Service has always been good and a variety of items on the menu. They have a separate sector for professional drivers to sit in and eat. Have eaten in this... More
