Very tasty German food

Went for lunch with my cousin and his wife. The waitress gave us good advice as to what to order . We had the goulash soup to start; then the schnitzel with spatzel and red cabbage. Then we shared the crepes for dessert. Food was very tasty.

This restaurant has good food and a good price. However, the service is terrible. The last few times I have been there the service has been extremely slow, whether they are busy or not. I would go there more often, if the service was better.

Was just driving past and thought we'd give it a try. It was a quiet night, as only one other couple was in there at the time. So service wasn't an issue and our food came quickly. The decor is somewhat dated, but not horrible buy any stretch. Our server was friendly. We both had the Jager schnitzel with spaetzle.... More

We visited this restaurant over the holidays for a family get together. I had jager snitzel - the snitzel itself was excellent but the sauce/gravy was not very good. It was very salty and tasted like corn starch. The side vegetables were tasty, as well as the spaetzel. Overall, it was decent/average, but I've definitely had better German food.

I've been driving past this place for the last couple years as I work nearby. One day I found myself without a lunch and stopped in. The waitress wouldn't leave me alone and kept trying to make conversation. It was after noon, on a Friday and I was clearly their first customer of the day. I was trying to read... More

Love the food. Good service. Always keep coming back. Little out of date but that is part of the charm ☺

The schnitzel is good with various toppings offered. Specials help bring down the prices. Soups tend to be on the salty side. Portions are generous. One drawback is although they state you can enter from the back door should you need an accessible entrance the washrooms are located on another level making the stairs a challenge for those having mobility... The food, service, decor and price is absoluyely the BEST!!! A definite must try eatery. The visit was most satisfying. The menu is extensive and if one would desire a dish that is not on the menu, they might make it for you.

We have been going to this wonderful old world restaurant for many years. The food is always excellent, with very generous portions and friendly staff. The lunch portions are slightly smaller but with the same frat quality. We have never been disappointed and it it a family favourite.

After being disappointed when we showed up and they had closed the kitchen early, they made up for it with great food and service. We Shared the platter for two which was delicious and had way more food than two people could eat, and tried a really good German grapefruit beer. Will definitely visit again.
