It was very salty and tasted like corn starch. The side vegetables were tasty, as well as the spaetzel. Overall, it was decent/average, but I've definitely had better German food.

I've been driving past this place for the last couple years as I work nearby. One day I found myself without a lunch and stopped in. The waitress wouldn't leave me alone and kept trying to make conversation. It was after noon, on a Friday and I was clearly their first customer of the day. I was trying to read... More

Love the food. Good service. Always keep coming back. Little out of date but that is part of the charm ☺

The schnitzel is good with various toppings offered. Specials help bring down the prices. Soups tend to be on the salty side. Portions are generous. One drawback is although they state you can enter from the back door should you need an accessible entrance the washrooms are located on another level making the stairs a challenge for those having mobility... The food, service, decor and price is absoluyely the BEST!!! A definite must try eatery. The visit was most satisfying. The menu is extensive and if one would desire a dish that is not on the menu, they might make it for you.

We have been going to this wonderful old world restaurant for many years. The food is always excellent, with very generous portions and friendly staff. The lunch portions are slightly smaller but with the same frat quality. We have never been disappointed and it it a family favourite.

After being disappointed when we showed up and they had closed the kitchen early, they made up for it with great food and service. We Shared the platter for two which was delicious and had way more food than two people could eat, and tried a really good German grapefruit beer. Will definitely visit again.

Do you want German food? This is the place. Geat schnitzel and the best escargot in garlic butter anywhere. We have been these numerous times and never had a bad meal yet. Goulash soup, good German rye bread, red cabbage and all the other goodies are available. Lunch meals offer excellent value and dinners are reasonably priced.

This German Inn's restaurant will be a favourite of mine when in Ajax. The place has a nice stucco/wood German style atmosphere and yes some wall decor it might be from the 70's but, that makes the history of the place for good food & drink. If you go home hungry from here it's your own fault, as the portions... More

Wanted something different for dinner. Wife suggested Sauter's. Authentic German food. Prices a bit higher than other restaurants but you get a lot of food. The dinner for 2 fed 4 of us with leftovers to take home. Can't wait to go back.
