Had weekend lunch buffet in this restaurant with my wife and a visitor from Tottenham, Ontario. The food is exotic but not a lot of variety. The place is cozy and quiet. Had kept our voices down so as not to disturb the other customers who were just an arm's length away. I noticed that the owner/cook (Manohar) would check... More

what a quaint little spot for an authentic Indian meal cooked and served by staff originally from India. Delicious and good value if you manage to hit the times that the buffet is available.

Very unassuming on the outside, but you walk into a cozy little place and it was packed!! This place is not a quick dinner on your way to a show. Food is prepared fresh when you order so plan on relaxing and enjoying while you wait. We didn't have to wait too long for appetizers. Nice to have them to... More

After trying many different places in the Pickering/Ajax area (yes including Empire Grill next door to them), I can honestly say that this is the BEST Indian food in the area. The food is fresh, made from real ingredients and not oily or greasy like all the others. I never feel 'bloated' or sick after leaving from here. The take... More

Have only tried twice - both times for lunch, and enjoyed the lunch buffet. Naan bread is amazing. Butter chicken is made from scratch and also very good. Variety of vegetables, in sauces which isn't my preferred way of eating vegetables. Dessert was a runny mild-tasting pudding.. Might be typical style. Warm reception - staff always nearby. One item I... More

This restaurant is one of the better Indian restaurants I've been to. It's a small restaurant run by a family. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Since the restaurant is small reservations are recommended. It's definitely worth the drive to Ajax.

My husband and I decided to visit Mount Everest Indian restaurant for date night recently. It is one of our favourite restaurants and Durham's best kept secret. Located in the heart of Pickering Village, reservations are strongly recommended as it is very popular, and the small, intimate setting makes you feel like you're part of the family. Also note that... More

This is my go to place whenever no one feels like cooking at home. I just love the butter chicken and the sizzling chicken tikka! Sorry mom, I think I like their butter chicken better - I like it sweet. I always get it mild but next time I'll get it hot. I like the friendly waitresses and the overall... More

We were looking for different take out for the evening and ordered Mount Everest for pickup. It was reasonably priced and the portions were huge, the menu had alot to offer as well but the chicken (in both dishes) was rubbery and had alot of little bones in it. There was very little white meat. All in all it seemed... More

Let me start by saying we have been to this restaurant many times over the years and loved it. In the last year it has steadily gone downhill. The service is really TERRIBLE. I dont mind waiting for food but I dont like having it thrown at me so that it spills all over the table. I also dont being... More
