Off the beaten track, you need to know where to find this place. Very popular with a loyal following. They do a couple of dishes very well... Jerk pork and curry goat are my favourite. The servings are large and it is priced well, the daily are also were good.!

Very good food helpful and friendly staff, nice cozy little spot to hang out & have lunch or dinner with friends try the oxtail or Jerk Chicken. The break fast is authentic Jamaican styles ;)

I ordered what i thought was a simple order of oxtail and a side of pork. Can i say it took me over 30 minutes and counting as i'm still on the clock waiting. The server had no qualms about the fact that she lied in my face and said it would take only 5 min. What she failed to... More

Usually I love the food but not sure what happened this time. The red pease soup was horrible. Tasted like pot water. And the jerk pork was bland. Not impressed at all. Great service and the kids loved the fried chicken. Would still go back.

Next neighbour had commented about this place and suggested that it is really good. On a whim I gave it a try. Yes it is a hole in the wall, but the food is very good. I found that service was prompt and polite. Price was about right. I really like jerk chicken and this was spot on. would recommend... More

Every time I am able to be in the east end, I make sure I get to Beryl's for their jerk chicken. I cannot speak for some of the other delicacies (typical West Indies fare, Ackee & Salt fish, various curries, barbeque, oxtail, etc.), but I've seen them ordered time and time again. Myself on the other hand I have... More

I have tried quite a few restaurants that serve Jamaican cuisine. Its usually hit or miss with a lot of these places. I have found Beryl's Pepperpot at the Ajax location to be consistent with the quality of the meals served. It is always worth the trip to get real Jamaican dishes.

They charge you 0.95 cents to any meal if you ask for gravy. This is unheard of! Any other joint gives you as much or as little gravy as you want without charge. And if they do charge, $1.00 is just ridiculous!!! The food is not that good. Sorry but I cannot believe these high ranked reviews are legit. I... More

Whether at a funeral, or at a private function, or at her Toronto location, the food always has that authenticity of Jamaica. Just last weekend our mutual friend brought me some food from a function that was catered by Beryl's and my daughter ate it all. It was her first time experiencing it. Now she wants the address for the... More
