I was happy to celebrate my birthday with great company, excellent personalized service and delicious food. The mussels were served steaming with the perfect amount of sausage (house made) as usual. We had a great time, if they are offering the Blueberry Martini.....try it you will like it. Hope to return again soon.

Love going there to dine on special occasions! Went on Sept. 6 to celebrate parents anniversary. The food is top notch delicious and the decor changes every three months giving local artist a chance to show their talent! It is a really marvelous place! Would go there every night! :-)

The front of house service was excellent along with great service throughout the night. A small establishment but the tables are well spaced with a pleasant ambiance. There was an adequate menu along with a selection of specials, it made it difficult to make a selection as they all sounded good. I enjoyed my chowder followed by halibut and delicious... More

Make reservations for this small find in New Glasgow. You will find a dining experience as good as in any big city with all the small town warmth and charm. Large portions with lots of flavour with each ingredient carefully prepared steaming hot before being plated. Each vegetable on the plate had been carefully chopped and individually seasoned showing a... More

Service was first-class and well-informed. Food was interesting and tasty. The chef knows how to cook vegetables properly, and how to present them well. It's definitely a spot for special occasions, for that elegant meal you promised yourself. Not for the burgers and fries crowd.

My wife and I have dined here about four times per year over the past decade. Chef Robert Vinton never ceases to amaze. The décore is subtle, and features the works of many local artists. I usually start with the Bistro salad which features fresh goat's cheese, but I've also tried the gnocci, garnished with a flavorful ragù. The fish... More

The food here is the best. The surroundings are so very Italian and the service was great. A lovely place to eat with friends.

If you want excellent service and extraordinary food go to The Bistro! In one week I was lucky enough to go with a group of six and again with just three of us. You must have the mussels....you just must. I enjoyed the halibut with prawns, it was so fresh and clean tasting. My husband and daughter had the grilled... More
