We only tried one thing on the menu - a grilled "prime rib" steak which we'd never heard of before - it was tender, delicious, but a little over seasoned - would rather add the seasoning myself! Hard to judge rest of menu , when that's all we had but it seemed popular with locals having good prices and service.

After passing all those famous lobster restaurant in Nova Scotia, on our way home to Connecticut we stopped by this little restaurant. It is a little nice place. We ordered lobster dinner and it was served with meshed potato and sautéed veggies. Lobster was good. Meshed potato was different to my taste, no salt and no butter. I wouldn't change... More

Had a great dinner of steak and lobster special. Steak was very good and the lobster was also tasty. This place has been here for a long time but always find the food to be excellent.

They are definitely focused on the bland clientele. If they did not have a "Seniors Special" we would have been alone in the restaurant. We did not order from the Seniors special and they did not have my first choice on the limited menu. ( I assume there was none in the freezer) We had a Cesar (that is what... More

I ordered the New York strip lion and it was like cutting through butter. Nicely seasoned and the mash was good. Vegies were soft and watery though which was my only complaint. The waitress was very humorous and actually helped me with a local Nova Scotia wine to purchase at the LC. Lol the east coasters know how to have... More

The fish is always good but they insist on putting butter on absolutely everything. My salmon was lovely but much too much quantity. The potatoes were dry and lumpy and the vegetables were almost non existent and greasy - mostly green peppers which I don't consider vegetables - yuk. My arteries will take a week to recover.

Service was good; Mussels we had for an appetizer were dry and sandy! The main dishes were adequate- salmon and haddock. But I can't imagine a restaurant in Nova Scotia serving imported FROZEN VEGETABLES with a meal in August with the bounty of harvest all around. This is pure laziness. The home made blueberry pie for dessert was awesome!

The food is always good and the vegetables are the highlight. The chicken stir fry is the best Ive had. Place needs a facelift...new chairs would help.

The restaurant was recommended by the Country Suites (first indication this was going to go bad). We ordered salads and chowder. I didn't think that chowder would be bad out East; proved wrong there. Much bettter places in New Glasgow for the money. Don't bother.

I liked that you pay the price for a meal and its enough to fill you, i had the panfried haddock which was cooked very well and afterwards i had the brownie which came with ice cream, this i could not finish and i probally should not have had dessert but with chocolate i can not refuse. Its a great... More
