our summer does not begin until Sweet Secrets opens --- the only place in Nova Scotia that really knows what a veal cutlet should look and taste . .... we die when they close each autumn

My mother, who lives near Annapolis Royal has been a long time customer at Sweet Secrets. When the owners of the restaurant were asked if they could host her 90th birthday, they kept the restaurant open for a full week beyond their usual Winter closure in order to host this event. The dinner for approx. 20 friends was a wonderful... More

We were lucky enough to have been suggested to this restaurant while we were in Annapolis Royal. The European food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The quaint little restaurant was warm, clean and inviting, and the service was great. The home-made Black Forest Cake was sinful!!!!

Haaving recently returned from Croatia, we had to try the food here. Debrovko and his wife handle all of the functions so on a busy night it might be a little slolw. Mrs. is in the kitchen making most everthing from scratch. I had the Bosnian Pie. Great presentation and flavor, but could have used a little more sauce (so... More

My wife and I tried a couple of types of Schnitzel and both were quite good. The service was friendly and the place was clean.

seafood was over cooked. Since the place is owned by someone from croatia, I also decided to try one of their traditional dishes. The pork was tough and not very tasty. Although the shreaded bell peppers garnishing the pork was somewhat tasty and fresh.

We ate here with our two kids and its not really geared towards family dinning. They did not have a kids menu never the less the kids shared an appetizer and a side of fries and devoured everything for the first time during our Annapolis trip! And their plates even came out with happy faces made out of tomatoes and... More

Loved the schnitzel, Digby scallops, chicken Cordon Blue, crepes, strudel, and Black Forest cake. This is not a "fancy" dining establishment, but for those who appreciate European fare, the food is worth the stop. I was hoping to have the type of boiled potatoes usually served with schnitzel in Europe....my only suggestion.

We have visited Sweet Secret Restaurant a few times and introduced to our friends who, like us, are very familiar with European cuisine. The has been very positive comments and they continually ask when we can do it again. Whether for a quiet dinner as a couple or as a group gathering we have never come away hungry or disappointed....
