Well-prepared in a charming atmosphere

We stopped for dinner on a night when we were seafooded-out. We started with the mixed green salad -- good, but could have had more inspired mix of vegetables. My goulash was tasty. My husband's sausage was good, but was a bit bland (we're more used to garlicky versions.) The homemade... read more

On our recent trip to Nova Scotia, we stayed quite near to Sweet Secret. The host at the place we were staying spoke well of the restaurant, so we gave it a try. I happen to be a fan of middle European cooking, and Sweet Secret was a very pleasant surprise. My wife an I enjoyed the caesar salad, which... More

The Grilled Salmon was perfect, portion wise and preparation. My wife had the the Chicken Stir fry and truly enjoyed it. Top ti all off with fun conversation with the owner and the Apple Strudel

We always have dinner there with friends when we are in town. A schnitzel and a glass of wine and all is good with the world. Good Croatian food, quality is always reliable, very friendly service.

We have had several meals at this restaurant and have been consistently impressed with the quality of the food. The goulash is the best I have ever tasted and would highly recommend it to people to try

I am traveling and just thought would check out some reviews of restaurants I've been to and was surprised at the recent poor reviews for this restaurant. I can't wait to get back to Nova Scotia to dine at Sweet Secrets each year and than thru out the summer. I was just there on their next to last night before... More

We tried this restaurant during our recent visit to Annapolis Royal. We usually enjoy schnitzel but were disappointed with what was presented here. It appeared to have been deep fried. Traditional German schnitzel is pan fried. The mixed vegies were 2 pieces of carrot & 1 each of green bean, yellow bean & broccoli. Not good value for the price.

There were 4 in our party and we each ordered a different meal. All were excellent. The service was great, the atmosphere was fantastic and the music was great.

This may very well be a great place to eat, however we couldn't stay because unless you just want to give your kids fries there is nothing on the menu for them. We asked the server and another male employee and they didn't offer up any suggestions at all, didn't even try! So we had to leave.

Sweet Secret is an adorable German restaurant with a fountain, pretty pink curtains, flower decorations and plants every where, and a charming assortment of other decorations. It is less than a five minute drive from Annapolis royal on Highway 1. We went there on each of the two nights that we stayed in Annapolis Royal. Both nights we had Weiner... More
