My wife and I had lunch al fresco prior to a matinee performance at the nearby Chester Playhouse. My wife chose the 'Thai Squash', expecting it to have at least some Thai flavour, but it was very bland. We mentioned it to our server, who was very apologetic, saying she normally tests the soup but had neglected to do so.... More

I ate both a weekday lunch and a Sunday breakfast at the Kiwi Cafe in Chester. The food was very good and the staff friendly. When I went in on Sunday, there was live music (Jazzette). Not sure how often there is live music in the cafe, but it was a wonderful surprise. I would definitely eat at the Kiwi... More

Enjoyed a delicious lunch of fresh and tasty items at the Kiwi Cafe. Large selection of breakfast/brunch type items but the Lobster rolls were a big hit (they were the best Lobster rolls out of four we tasted while travelling in Nova Scotia). A must visit if you're in the Chester area!

I had a pear and brie sandwich here for lunch. Service was very good and the food was excellent. They were very helpful with local information and directions to attractions. Above average menu!

The patio was full and the restaurant wasn't too far behind when we arrived - so we suspected there was a good reason for the rave reviews. We were not disappointed. Our group enjoyed several of the salads, lobster rolls, grilled cheese, smoothies and desserts. This was the perfect place to stop on our day trip along the coast. While... More

But also a nice place for brunch. The lobster roll sandwiches are some of the best, the Kiwi burrito is a big hit and the selection of desserts are always good. You will find everyone from every walk of life in Chester here at some point during the day in each summer.

Nothing fancy about the Kiwi but the food is fresh and tasty , served with a smile ! You can tell that the owner/manager cares about this place. We will return soon.

The Kiwi is such a unique restaurant, which has a lot of kiwi themed items. The food id delicious which is prepared with local products. The menu is full of heathy choices, their soups are so different, their curry butternut squash soup is very tasty with just a hint of curry. My favourite sandwich has to be the arugula, pear... More

We haven't been the Kiwi in while and I forgot just how unique and delicious their food is. My husband had a red lentil soup and vegetarian burger. They make the patty inhouse and serve it with chipolte mayo and caramelized onions. I had a quinoa, pear and feta salad that was large and satisfying. We shared a slice of... More

After reading numerous positive Trip Advisor reviews, we added this onto our Chester / Mahone Bay / Lunenberg day trip. I was pleasantly surprised by the fun and funky ambiance, complete with numerous kiwi themed decorations - a charming touch. I ordered gluten free toast with a spinach/goat cheese/ avacodo with smoked salmon omelette. Fellow Trip Advisor reviewers - it... More
