Simple and wholesome

This is a favourite of ours - we visit Mabou at least 2-3 times a year and always have a late lunch after hiking or visiting the beach. Today we even went out of our way to drive here from Inverness when we couldn't find a place to eat that we liked. The seafood chowder is always good and the... read more

Stopped by for lunch and found a very casual clean restaurant. Lunch was very good and it is popular with the locals.

I was pleased to find a scallop stir fry on the menu. It was acceptable. The vegetables in it were overdone and the scallops slightly tough. It came with a rice pilaf that was strongly flavoured and brownish - perhaps an Asian sauce. Service was just fine! The place was very empty when we were there - supper time. I... More

Three of us ate dinner here. We had a very nice table and the waitress was really good to work with. I had the Seafood Chowder. I ordered it because I love seafood chowder with lobster. The lobster seemed a bit dried out and leathery making it a bit difficult to cut with a spoon whilst eating. However, the lobster... More

When I'm on holiday abroad I like to get enough to eat. I like good food coupled with good value. The Mull absolutely fits the bill perfectly. The Caesar salad with chicken, the Caesar salad with 3 pieces of fish (a special), the Mull burger, the haddock dishes are all excellent. The food is extremely tasty and the staff courteous... More

Stopped in after having been ignored at another local restaurant. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Decor isn't fancy, but if you want a good home cooked meal with friendly service, this is the spot to visit in Mabou!

The salads were good. While the burgers and some dishes looked freshly-prepared I suspect the seafood dishes are all pre-breaded and frozen--very average

Went here for dinner last night before the Beaton music concert at the town hall. The fish burger & coleslaw was fabulously (if this isn't a word yet, it should be!) delicious, and the Mull burger & Roast beef sandwich were equally tasty. The staff was very friendly as well. Will keep this place in our books for when we... More

We were looking for a place to have a sandwich in the area, and lucked into this. A very basic small-town restaurant where the food was good. I had the weird experience of helping a group of wheelchair-bound senior citizens navigate the not-so-accessible accessible entrance.
