Great Staff, Small Portions, Average Food

It looks like your typical 60's greasy spoon and also the smell of grease hits you as soon as you open the door. However the waitress was super friendly, so we decided to give it a try. Food was served quickly and to say the portions are small is an understatement. The plates they use are... read more

The hamburger patty was obviously frozen, as it began to crumble immediately upon the first bite. It's small, and about 1/8 inch or 3 mm thick. Lettuce was okay, but tomato was really bad and really thin. Onions? A few flakes. Fries? Frozen. I think even the buns were frozen, and they also crumbed upon eating. I was just so... More

THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN - If it wasn't for the fact that there was no other place in town that was opened and the fact that my bladder could hold no more, we would not have eaten there... The "waitress" was wearing a dirty black t-shirt, there is only one bathroom (which was disgusting), my husband's hamburger (which... More

Very nice little restaurant, reminds you of a sixties soda shop, food is very good, place is very clean and the staff is very friendly, enjoyed eating there.

I have left more food on my plate than the serving sizes presented here! Is it possible that a settlement known for its fishing history have a delicious fish and chips lunch, not this place , both the fish and chips were direct from the package, absolutely disgusting! A club house sandwich that barely fit on a tea saucer! I... More

Menu is small, and the food quality is not that great; e.g. crinkle cut fries, iceberg lettuce. Staff was friendly though.

Gave this restaurant a try,but regretted it....not a good place to eat. I had the "world famous turkey dinner" which was absolutely terrible and certainly not worth the price. My daughter had the turkey 'soup' which was water with some onions and carrots and minuscule amounts of turkey. Would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Although the portion size was a little wanting, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food itself was not that bad either, it was just a bit too small after going for a long walk beforehand.

We were hungry, and found very few options for supper in town. We had very personable and quick service at the counter. Everything we ordered arrived as requested, hot and well prepared. Nothing fancy, but sometimes, a good milkshake, burgers and fries for a decent price really hits the spot. We also enjoyed learning a little more about Beryl Markham,... More

The food was not too bad but my plate did not have all that I felt it should (Fisherman platter). But what got me was them calling my wife a b----- within her hearing. Not what you say about a customer near by. When confronted they got up in arms, they need to learn to control their tongue around their... More
