Scallops and local beer are great!

This is not a fancy restaurant and one of the few open in September near our B & B. My wife had scallops and I had a lobster sandwich. Service is very informal but extremely friendly. You will not be rushed.

The lobster was good. The rest of the food just OK. I think the waitress was just scatterbrained. We ordered a half liter of wine. She brought a full liter. We corrected her and she brought the half liter. She charged us for a full liter. We corrected her. She did not completely clear the table before bringing dessert leaving... More

We've been here three times, all near the end of the season. We've ranged from being about the only people there to it being completely jammed. The service is always friendly and the food is great. Love the fish cakes and chowder, in addition to the lobster. Window seating also provides a great view of the harbour.

We LOVE this restaurant and it has become one of our 'must' stop lunch locations when we are in CB for Celtic Colours! The seafood is EXCELLENT- very fresh and cooked to perfection! The poutine of to die for as well! Love this place and our usual waitress, who greets us every year when we arrive!

Had both lunch and dinner here. Lunch was on the deck, which had great views - we had chowder (which was amongst the best we have had) and a beef and barley soup and shared a corned beef sandwich - all of which was top notch. Dinner was good too, it was my fist time with lobster and the waitress... More

We stopped in at this little restaurant for a late lunch after spending a long day at the Louisberg park. The place was not busy. We asked the only staff in sight if they could accomodate a gluten intolerant diner. She said she wouldd check to see if they still had gf bread. She then proceeded to do something behind... More

Ordered the lobster and crab meal, my spouse had the large salmon. The seasonal vegetables were from frozen, the waitress had no idea what I could or could not eat on the lobster (I asked her to identify by pointing what I could not eat and she said the brain. When pressed she said the grey sac.... That I was... More

We went to Lobster Kettle based on reviews and recommendations for the food quality. We didn't end to have our dinner here though, because we were looking for something nicer than a fluorescent lamps fully illuminated community center like hall, with cheap tables and chairs, and relatively high prices on the menu. Food may be great, but the environment of... More
