We went to Lobster Kettle based on reviews and recommendations for the food quality. We didn't end to have our dinner here though, because we were looking for something nicer than a fluorescent lamps fully illuminated community center like hall, with cheap tables and chairs, and relatively high prices on the menu. Food may be great, but the environment of... More

This is the place to go for seafood. It was fantastic. Not much of a wait when we were there. Had the best of both worlds dinner. Crab and lobster....just excellent

We were 'stuck' with this restaurant when we realized nothing else was open for dinner in town. What?! In the end we were happy with our 'choice' and the food was good but nothing to write home about. We clearly ordered the wrong thing because it took forever to come and most other patrons seemed to be served more quickly.... More

To start, their menu and prices on their website is about 5 years out of date. Their prices were doubled and they don't have a salad bar as their website advocates. Asked about their scallops and the waitress said that they were about the size of a quarter and you got 6 of them. She said thats the size harvested... More

During a very busy time when it seemed customers were arriving and departing constantly all servers did exceptional work. One in particular stood out and we later asked for her name. It was Kimmy Lahey. We as well enjoyed an excellent seafood meal.

My family and I were left with a mediocre opinion of this place. This restaurant is at the bottom of what is easily one of Louisbourg's most-scenic streets. Situated directly on the waterfront of the North Atlantic Ocean, the view on the sunny afternoon we visited was superb. The gravel parking was OK, but a fair walk from the restaurant... More

My traveling partners and I had dinner here around 6, after enjoying the Lighthouse, beach and some of the Fortress. We had about two hours to casually have dinner before going nearby to the playhouse for a concert, and enjoyed sitting out on the deck as the weather was perfect and arrived at a good time before it was busy.... We made a point of having a lobster sandwich just about every day for lunch in just over two weeks in Nova Scotia. The one at the Lobster Kettle just didn't have any flavor ... almost like the lobster was not cooked in salt water. Service was okay.

Move along to somewhere else. Mediocre food and service....nothing special here! I had the scallops and they came in a cream sauce that was tasteless; more like paste!
