We made a point of having a lobster sandwich just about every day for lunch in just over two weeks in Nova Scotia. The one at the Lobster Kettle just didn't have any flavor ... almost like the lobster was not cooked in salt water. Service was okay.

Move along to somewhere else. Mediocre food and service....nothing special here! I had the scallops and they came in a cream sauce that was tasteless; more like paste!

Our party of 6 had a great time at this seafood restaurant. We sat outside on the deck after a day at the Fort. From the deck we had a beautiful view of the harbour and the Fort. My wife had the snow crab and it was delicious. There were some great choices for my kids and the prices were... More

Stopped there for lunch at noon and we were first ones there. My wife ordered the lobster sandwich and she said it was really good. I ordered fish and chips which were pretty good. The issue was that a tour bus came in at which point they kind of forgot we were there. The manager sure didn't notice as I... More

Popular spot - most everyone going to the playhouse or staying at our b&b seemed to be eating here. They have an outside deck, which would have been wonderful on a beautiful day like this, but the few tables were occupied or reserved. A great deal of deck space is wasted with large crab traps, presumably for decoration- they could... More

Stopped by after a day at Ft. Louisbourg. Wife ordered the lobster and snow crab combo and I had the fish chowder and halibut. Chowder very good, halibut excellent and lobster was 5 stars. Only complaint was that the veggie sides tasted canned. Great service.

After a great day at the fort we loved the chance to sit outside to eat. The service was helpful and efficient and the food good. The pan fried haddock was especially tasty . We'd love to come back but it's unlikely .

After spending a long day at the Fortress of Louisbourg, we happened along this restaurant. What a disappointment. My husband first tried to order the clam strips, only to be told they ran out earlier. Then he switched his order to the haddock, which was my choice as well. Fifteen minutes after placing our order, we were told they ran... More

I ordered the fish cakes, and quite frankly they were potato cakes with some onion. The salad was out of a bag and the dressing was also store bought. I did complain about the fish cakes to the waitress and she said she spoke to the kitchen and the manager. The kitchen said that there was a problem with one... More
