The place is quite nice, especially its bar. We were lucky thank we could enjoy great atmosphere of life music in there. Food is not more than average but location and price are fine. Staff was quick and smiling.

Great menu. Had the seafood stir fry. Bit skimpy with the crab, otherwise great meal. Friendly service.

Great place to stop for a meal! Home made style cooking and generous portions. Desserts looked awesome though I didn't order any as they give you oatcakes with the roll basket and those oatcakes were delicious! Staff were very friendly, service was great, no long waits for food. Would recommend a visit!

A large venue with both table and booth service. Often very busy as tour buses stop there but it is big enough to cope. Service was efficient, friendly and inclusive. We had the chowder and the fish cakes. Both were as good as our Maritime Grammy used to make. The Chowder came with bread and crackers and has hooked me... More

A great little restaurant to stop at for some good food. We had no major complaints about the food except the soup. The chowder was so thick it may as well be called seafood dip!

We were staying at Albert’s Motel and the owner suggested Le Gabriel for dinner. As we entered this restaurant that has a lighthouse at the front, we were immediately greeted by a friendly server and taken to our table. There was a musical performance for the evening’s entertainment. Due to the performance, the restaurant was bustling with patrons. We placed... More

On a recent night in Cheticamp my wife and I chose to dine at Le Gabriel and unfortunately found it rather disappointing overall. We were quickly seated and after checking out the menu decided on the Marks Caps as a starter and the Stuffed Sole and Acadian Sampler as our entrees. The Marks Caps are crab and cheese stuffed mushrooms... More

We had reservations but had to wait with a crowd of people at the front door for over 15 minutes! Only one person seating people and settling bills. So bill paying took precedence. Once seated were told it would be 45 minutes before we would probably get served. Apparently they had entertainment in the bar area and that was taking... More

Just had dinner at Le Gabriel in Cheticamp. Crab roll. They said the crab was fresh, I say the crab was frozen and flavorless. The side of salad was nothing more than chopped cucumber and lettuce with packaged dressing. Way overpriced for what we had. Striking Le Gabriel from our list.

We were camping in the area & went to dinner one rainy evening the end of June looking for lobster. The waitress gave us our choice of the 'small' or 'large' lobster special. My wife asked what size the small lobster was, expecting the typical chicken lobster. The waitress's answer was "2-1/2 to 3 lbs"!!! The large lobster was "3-1/2... More
