Tried Le Gabriel with a few business partners. Understandably it was busy for dinner being one of the only places in the area, but they should have more waiters/waitresses. Took well over an hour to order and get food, which wasn't that impressive in the end. Try another place.

My husband and I ate here on 17 September, 2013 - sorry for the late review. As others have said, this is a wonderful restaurant with very tasty food. Although there were many other diners on the night we ate there, the service was excellent. My husband, like the previous reviewer's husband, would recommend the "Captain's Platter" - most delicious.

We are from NC, but make the trip from Sydney every time we visit to eat at Le Gabriel. The food is great, the service is great, the view is nice, and their oat cakes are soooooo good! My husband said the "Captain's Platter" is one of the best he's ever had.

Dined with a very large group. Service was spotty but the crab legs were the best I've ever had in my life! Reasonable price.

One of the best restaurants in the Highlands, coming from a Caper ! Always stop there when I do the trail. Cheap food, friendly service, good portions and it tastes amazing :)

A group of us stopped here on our way around the Cabot Trail, we all had not eaten for many hours and were famished, this was the first place we saw to eat. After getting our food we all agreed we made a great decision stopping here, the food was wonderful, the service was friendly and the prices were right!... More

By far, this restaurant served the best crab legs I have ever had in my life! We were part of an organized tour and Le Gabriel came highly recommended for excellent seafood and good value - true on both counts. Being a large group, service was not the fastest but the wait was well worth it. If you've had lobster... More

Really enjoyed our meals here. We ordered the surf and turf and seafood platter. Large portions, juicy steak, amazing crab and lobster. Very reasonable prices. Cooked to our preference and lovely welcome.

Their seafood chowder is TOPS - Filling and flavorful. This place is known for it's seafood and although good, they need to add more seasoning for our taste. The chowder is wonderful though and the service excellent. Not a fancy place but good food.

Food was good but the best was the owner who in an electric wheel chair took orders and provided some great local information. She made the evening for me.
