Great choice for lunch

Drove up and down the Cheticamp main highway but could not find anyone interested in serving lunch at gone 2pm. We chose a table on the deck which was a good choice to see what makes this town tick - the sea and fishing - so seafood lunch was ordered which was excellent! Seafood chowder so thick... read more

In May 2015 my wife and I toured the Maritimes (North-East Canada). And were so Lucky to stay one night in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. When we asked in the reception at the hotel where they would recommend to eat that night, wanting lobsters, they did not hesitate in mentioning Le Gabriel Restaurant & Lounge. We went for a walk and... More

The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. The service was good, the woman was very friendly and quick.

I came here when on a trip with Caravan based on the recommendation of our whale watching sailors. Probably the best meal I've ever had. I had one of their seafood platters. It came with crab legs (out of this world), shrimp (also the best I've ever had), scallops, mussels (only so-so for these), and fish (also unbelievably good). If... More

While visiting Nova Scotia, my wife and I went to Le Gabriel based on a recommendation. Well, this was possibly the best lobster we ever had. Mine topped pout right at 4 lbs and my wife's 2+ lbs. It was sweet, succulent, and prepared to perfection. And the price (the meal included excellent bread , potatoes and vegetables of choice)... More

A group of 9 from our tour bus ate dinner at Le Gabriel. One had the lobster and it was very good. We had the seafood sample and it was EXCELLENT. I thought it was the best food of our 10 day trip. Nice rustic sports bar in back. A few reported very slow service. This seems to be a... More

Good opportunity to try authentic Acadian food including meat pie and baked beans. They also had some live music. Very friendly.

The menu has a large selection and everything was very good. Portion sizes were good. The place was very busy. The interior could use a make over and some brightening up. Loved the bread basket!

Our family arrived off the Cabot Trail for a late dinner. It was quite busy inside as it was Friday night and live music was playing. It took quite some time for our waitress to come and take our order (15 minutes). By the time she came we were more than ready for drinks & dinner order. Even though it... More
