This restaurant has a huge menu and very friendly staff. The food was good. As an added feature, there are hand-hooked gifts for sale near the check-out.

My wife and I stopped here for a well earned Lunchbreak from the Cabot Trail! The restaurant is just off the road and not difficult to miss due to the large lighthouse protruding from its front! Inside the restaurant was a little dated and could have done with a little more light - it seemed quite dark! The menu was... More

The food here was just fine. I had lobster roll and chowder (excellent chowder) and my wife had a salad. Sevice was outstanding. It's just a matter of taste but quaint is overrated from my personal point of view so unless you like a place that is a bit dated, it not the greatest.

We stopped here for lunch while driving the Cabot Trail. We started with a bowl of mussels, which were quite fresh and very good. We followed that with lobster rolls, which probably had roughly the equivalent of a 1 lb lobster on each roll. Service was attentive and reasonably prompt given that the food is prepared when ordered.

I had to admit that I had major feelings of trepidation, eating at a restaurant with a hokey, tourist-trapping replica of a lighthouse as their street-drawing entrance. But, in this case, you can't judge a restaurant by its cover, as both my wife and I had fabulous meals there, in the outdoor patio. In my case, it was a 3... More

After traveling around Nova Scotia for 2 weeks and being disappointed in the lobsters (dry, not juicy, no flavor) we finally had a great lobster. a 2 pounder for $26.00 was well worth it. My husband told the waitress it was the best and next thing you know the chef came to our table to see how everything was. We... More

Five of us, including three children under 10. They saw the "lighthouse" and decided it was the place to go. Seated and attended to quickly, they had a great kids menu that included the meal, drink and sundae and a "toy" from the "treasure box" afterward. My wife and I had the turkey club which was delicious. The kids had... More

Had dinner on a Sunday night. I had a rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection and my wife had halibut cheeks which she greatly enjoyed. A local trio played music between 7 and 9 pm which we much enjoyed. The staff were all great

I received my entree so late that nearly all in my party of 5 were completely finished. Waitress said the kitchen made a mistake and didn't prepare my meal..Don't know who was at fault but I didn't finish my meal because I didn't want my party to wait any longer. When the bill came I noticed no change in my... More
