We were recommended two restaurants by our hotel owner and chose this place because of the variety offered on the menu. We were not disappointed in our choice of eatery or food. The chowder was excellent and it was a struggle to finish our main courses. Very disappointed not have had a dessert as they looked delicious. The staff were... More

I personally like the burger and homemade fries but my wife was disgusted with the service; the attitude of the waitress, and the fact that they advertised whipped cream on the pie but it wasn't - it was one of those oil product, whipped topping which is NOT whipped cream. As tourists we want REAL food and NOT some oil... More

We were disappointed in this restaurant. Several individuals told us it was great, but we found it to be average at best. I had the chowder and it was okay...very, very, very thick with ample seafood, but didn't match up to other chowders in Nova Scotia area. Also, our waitress left a lot to be desired; did not make anyone... More

Handy location for most visitors to Cheticamp and since we were at Laurie’s Inn it was almost next door, and was also recommended. Could not fault the service and the seafood we had was excellent. Unfortunately the extras, i.e. tartar sauce in a bubble pack, the frozen carrots and french beans, the rice and mash potato were really rather sad... More

Sea food par excellence. Handy crafts also for sale made from recycled wood drifts and boards, hooked rugs First place I run into with a museum to hooked rugs. Seems to be a art form in the area.

We ate here after some hiking in the highlands. The service was friendly but not quick. The food was average, nothing special or great. Our group had the fish and chips, hot hamburg, and 1/4 chicken dinner. They seemed to skimp on the sides, including fries which was annoying since the mains were not overly filling. Next time I will... More

This restaurant consists of a traditional seating area in the dining room and a larger, more casual "pub" area in the adjacent room. We chose to eat in the pub because live music was being performed that particular evening. The pub has an ice hockey sports theme and also includes dart boards and billiard tables as well as a large... More

Said to be the best spot in town for dinner. They did have a fair crowd at this family restaurant, but the food was no more than what you would expect. Sadly, the service was very slow. Maybe the waitress had too big an area to serve. Although there was an army of staff, she was waiting on tables indoors... More

We just spent 2 weeks touring Nova Scotia and PEI and the seafood chowder we had here was the best of all the others we ate, and we had a lot of chowder. They don't use potatoes, and the result is so full of various fresh ingredients, it is a complete meal. I think my husband counted 8 large scallops... More
