We liked this place, attracted by Trip Advisor and number of cars in lot. Chowder was terrific. Other seafood very good. Scallops were GREAT. Very friendly, good service. When traveling, we try to order what restaurants see as they specialties. I think seafood is their speciality and they do it very well.

We stopped in at this restaurant on our way through town. There were lots of cars parked outside, which we thought was a good sign. I had a penne pasta since I don't like seafood, and it was good enough that I wanted to order a second dish, though I was full. My wife ordered the scallops and I think... More

It was nice. Quaint but rustic. A little too much on the "Old" atmosphere with the unstable tables and chairs that don't sit flat. The food was better than average and appears to be home cooked. The service was a little on the inattentive side considering it wasn't all that busy. Great location sitting ion the heart of a beautiful... More

Had steak there a while back and everything was overlooked. Very bar like and home style food. Service was so so. Atmosphere was bar like and a lot of people playing darts.

Enjoyed a late evening meal while staying a night in Cheticamp. The food was tasty and portions were average.

A busy place probably because there is not much choice in Septenber in Cheticamp. Standard fare and OK for lunch.

Le Gabriel was recommended by the proprietor of Merry's motel and we were not disappointed. It is a large family-style restaurant but it is divided into sections which make it more intimate, and the food was very good. It is obviously very popular with the locals with many of the diners being regulars. The food and service was very good,... More

We had a wonderful meal here. My wife had a 2 1/2 pound lobster dinner and it was the best lobster she ever had, and she loves lobster. I had a meat pie special that was also terrific. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I wish I could have taken them with us and trained the wait staff... More

It was a bit crowded when we were there, but service was fairly quick. Food was average. Fairly quiet considering it was fairly full. Mite be better in town, but was recommended by our motel.
